Last night was not pretty to watch at times. It was a backs to the wall performance. What I did see was a team that refused to capitulate to a man.

They gave it everything & got something from the game. We need to build on this for Saturday.

Tbh i would completely disagree with the backs to the wall comment, however u are entitled to your own opinion, apart from their 2 goals partick really offered not much of a threat apart from a few half chances from just the edge of the box, with alot of pars players blocking said half chances

Oh Well , the rot was stopped tonight ! I have to be honeest when Partick got their second Goal and Morrison missed the one at the back post I was saying here we go again !
let`s hope we can Push on this Saturday and get the result we need
But FFS we need to stop giving teams a goal of a start , we need to be right into teams from the first whistle , none of this tippy tappy stuff and sitting off the opposition

This is the problem 👆. Not closing down the opposition from the start, giving them too much space and time and usually an early goal, and then we are chasing the game!!

We`ve lost 32 goals in 25 games. The four teams below us have all lost more. We`ve lost 10 in the last 4 games so, until then, our defensive record was actually pretty tight. These 4 games have included goalkeeping howlers and sendings-off. If we can cut them out hopefully our defensive record can return to something like normality.

Don’t agree with comments like JCM had a shocker and backs to the wall

I must have been watching a different game?

Yeah no way was it backs to the wall apart from the opening 25 minutes when we were totally exposed through the middle.
We kind of controlled the match from thereon in until their second.

In terms pf possession we were the better team. I didnt think PT had to work very hard for their hoals but we did. We need to be capitalising on our possession and score first. Two central defenders got our goals which tells you something. I agree with NLs comments that there were a couple of times where we got good crosses in that the strikers should be getting on the end of. Sometimes we thought the play was very mechanistic and predictable. We need to mix it up and be less predictable. We didnt put Ashcroft under pressure enough. On the few occasions we did, they panicked. The bottom line os that there is no outstanding team in this league. All are beatable. We need to learn the art of composure in the box and clinical finishing and we can climb the table.

I think there was a bit of both us improving and Partick taking their foot off the gas after they went 1-0 and 2-1 up.

Given their attacking talent they probably should have put more pressure on us as I thought they looked really threatening when they attacked quickly.

We didn`t get the tactics right from the start. You could have bet your house before the game on Watt being through the middle and Chalmers and Fitzpatrick staying way up and hugging either touchline. This tactic kills us every time as the fullbacks are either pinned back or if they do step up then that pair are in behind, free to run at the back three. Good to see changes made.

First of me seeing Turley, thought he was good.

I really like Cooper, he was good when he came on, always looking to create something.
