Haiti`s moves all seemed to end with a hopeful ball into the box. We had good luck with the goal but bad luck with the shot that hit the post. I thought we edged it.

Don`t underestimate the pressure these guys were under. I agree we were very poor in possession at time but hopefully they relax into it now. A win is a win.

I mean three points might be enough but we`ll have to avoid being soundly beaten by both Brazil and Morocco, who on tonight`s performance, will absolutely destroy us. Slightly concerned also that in the event of a tie break for one the best third places the number of bookings we picked up tonight could be costly.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Well delighted with the win but that was utterly dreadful….could hardly string 4 passes together.

Bring on Morocco 🫣

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

You watched a different game from me. Luckily their final ball was poor

What a missed opportunity that was for Haiti.

Edged it? We were beaten on every measure except for the deflected goal. Less shots, less xg, more backward passes, less forward passes, half of their touches in final third.

Take the win and run. Hope for much better performance in next game or we’re potentially looking at 2 gubbings.

Wee eck, stay off the whisky. Haiti will get well beat off both.

What`s `lucky` about a team`s final ball being poor? What about our final ball? I suppose they were just poor.

Lucky in that their final ball didn’t match their build up play.

Feels like the ref has had to blow his whistle every 10 seconds throughout the whole game

43 fouls in the game…….

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Raymie, I don`t think you ever thought Steve Clarke would get us to the WC finals.

That was the game that worried me most - ugly second half but we`ve won a game at the World Cup 👏🏼👏🏼

Hopefully follow it up on Friday, but chuffed to be heading over with us top of the group.

Let`s see where it takes us!

Haiti will get pumped by Morocco and Brazil. We will most likely lose to both. We might be lucky that we still make the knockouts but it’s a big ask now with how poor we looked.

Very anti climactic tonight.

Not many with pass marks but a win is a win, less pressure in the next two hopefully see a better performance but it’ll need to be .

A win’s a win, at the end of the day. And that’s a vital three points. But it was a tough watch. Particularly at that time of the morning. Honking performances all over the pitch.

We`ve been on the wrong side of fortune lots of times, so a change is welcome.

We need a bigger slice of luck for the next two games, though, if the group isn`t going to finish 7-7-3-0. Perhaps the underdog status will suit us better.
