It`s not as exciting as other aspects of the game, but I feel like refs are really significant in tournaments and we`ve got a few players that can win free kicks in dangerous positions. Reply |

I would like to think we would be a bit more organised defensively against the other two, and no expectation to get anything after watching them play might suit us better... Onwards... Reply |

Hopefully that releases some pressure and we might be better suited to counter attacking against Brazil and Morocco. That said, the fear is we sit deep and our timid in our pressing and we get picked apart easily by high quality teams, like the Germans did to use at the Euros. It was really easy for Haiti to get the ball deep in to our half with how narrow we were, they didn`t need to work hard or take any risks to pin us back. Surely 5 in midfield for the next 2 games, but there has to be more aggression to press the ball a bit higher and there has to be more courage, directness and forward thinking in possession. We looked decent in the first 30 minutes at times when we played the ball forward at some pace, give it a try! Reply |
| 65. Author: Jeffery Date: Sun 14th Jun 2026. 09:43 It was a tough watch. Some top level players making really basic passing errors. That pass completion stat is a shocker at this level. Haiti had the better of it and will be disappointed not to take something from the game. They`ll be disappointed by their final ball. Pleased to take something from it but things need to improve massively to have a hope of getting anything out of the next two. I`m not convinced just having 3 points will be enough. Reply |

My head is saying “a win is a win” and I’m happy, but we know moving forward that we are going to have to be so much better. Loving You, Is In My DNA 🇾🇪 Reply |

The players got the victory and handled the pressure. Sometimes you can only play as well as the other side lets you. A demonstration of an outstanding level of professionalism both mentally and technically. G Wardrope Post Edited (Sun 14 Jun 11:27) Reply |

| 73. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Sun 14th Jun 2026. 11:51 The cup final is a good example of my thoughts on football. Had we played as we had done in the first half for the remainder of the game, I would have been angry and disappointed. We made a fist of it in the second half and played well. We still lost, but I left the game knowing the better team had won, but we had given a good account of ourselves. We view the game differently, wee eck, and that’s fine ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Post Edited (Sun 14 Jun 11:59) Reply |
