A point away at Inverness will prove to be good as I feel they will be there or thereabouts this season…..however we are entitled to give our opinions of the performance. Sometimes today it looked as if we were playing 5-2-3. If we are going to persist playing three central defenders then when we are out of possession one of them needs to step up and A Tod needs to drop back. CM was outnumbered first half. What a waste of a decent player. Hopefully he`s just needing a few weeks to warm up, the team can`t afford any passengers. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Alternative rock fan. I thought before today that we lack strength in midfield and at least one player to push Morrison for his place. Some pace would be nice too. | 97. Author: Berry Date: Sat 1st Aug 2026. 20:24 Playing a newly promoted team first game of the season on their own patch was always going to be really difficult. I’m not long back and that first half was worrying, if it wasn’t for Oxborough we could’ve been two/three down. Defensively we were poor first half, they got through us far too easily. Thought we were poor throughout to be honest, Gilmour wasn’t at it, Kearney had a bit of a stinker, Rudden did nothing of note, bar the shot off the post A.Tod looked passive (and has been for a long time in my view). We looked better when we made the changes, Kane in particular. I think I’ve concluded on Morrison, he’s just not good enough. Ironically despite the pressure ICT had, we should’ve won it at the end, how Cooper didn’t score is beyond me, didn’t even hit the target - can only think he had a little too much time to think about it - would’ve been one of the biggest robberies I’ve witnessed. A good point in the end which still feels a bit of a robbery in itself, not many teams will win up there so we take it and move onto Ayr. Reply |
| 98. Author: RhinoPars Date: Sat 1st Aug 2026. 20:43 Amazing the game finished 0-0. Andy Tod`s would have been a cracker of a goal had it gone in and not hit the post. Morrison and Cooper missed good chances but Cooper at least made the run and has scored a few recently as super-sub. Their keeper did well coming out quickly to narrow the angle. Ox was clearly our man of the match with some great saves. ICT were also very wasteful given all the chances they created. Credit to ICT as they worked really hard and their relentless pressing caused us to give the ball away quite often. Didn`t help that the ref let them get away with some professional fouls early on.
