| 41. Author: david9640 Date: Sat 8th Aug 2026. 20:19 The stream worked fine for me - for the full match. I suspect there are a few different issues at play for others. For example: If you are on holiday from the UK and are using mobile data, then the connection is routed via the UK. As a result, DAFCTV would think you are in the UK. Since Urban Zoo provide this service for larger clubs, I would think they have some type of block on using VPNs. I imagine this block only applies to the streaming of the match, rather than the purchasing of the subscription. Meaning some people are able to buy a subscription, but blocked from watching. There could also be something to do with cookies. I regularly use a VPN to access IPlayer and other such services from abroad. If I visited the DAFC site and the VPN made it look like I was in the UK, then that might be stored as a cookie (to prevent the site needing to check my IP address very often). If I then turned the VPN off, the cookie might still be there. (This would also explain why switching to another browser worked for some). And then there is the usual issue that`s always the case with these things - slower internet, increased latency due to distance, older equipment, slower equipment, and so on. Reply |

I had the same issue as many others in that the service wasn`t recognising my previous sub and wanted me to buy another but rebooting laptop and resetting VPN to refresh IP address had me on stream 6 minutes before kick off. Gutting for those that didn`t get on but just trying to confirm that there was a working stream for folk who subbed a week ago and were viewing from overseas (from France, not UK pretending I`m in France). I`ve had tonnes of problems viewing all sorts of content moving between France & UK and different problems affecting different devices (TV, iPad, iPHone & laptop). TV is always too flakey using whatever crappy browswer is built into the TV software. iPhone/ipad refuses to work propelry with VPN because of the other location services functions it has that the VPN doesn`t just override to spoof the location. Hopefully if it`s a DAFCLive issue they get it sorted pronto because it`s crap for folk who`ve subbed and can`t see the games. Reply |
| 43. Author: RhinoPars Date: Sat 8th Aug 2026. 21:24 Once you get in the DAFCLive stream is very good with lots of replays, better camera work and commentary and highlights. Some of us just use VPNs for security. When I changed from Chrome to Bing I finally got the stream to work. Unfortunately today the watch from start wasn’t working (it did for previous games.)so I missed the first 18 minutes. Fortunately we got to see replays of Andy Tod’s goal. However DAFCLive need to get this streaming access problem for paid monthly and annual passes sorted as Chrome is the world’s most used browser. This problem has gone on for too long. Reply |
| 44. Author: RhinoPars Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 10:32 I got the following feedback which suggests that the feed access problem so many of us have been experiencing should hopefully be sorted soon once the DAFCLive app launches .... "We will be discouraging browser viewing going forward, as the app will launch soon, which allows streaming in the app and casting to external devices as well. There are too many browsers and combinations of problems to allow us to troubleshoot every Saturday. Chrome may be the most popular but that doesn`t make it good, it has become a bloatware nightmare in the last few years and it`s support for some streaming codecs is still lacking compared to other browsers." | 45. Author: Raymie the Legend Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 11:37 That sounds fine as long as you are able to cast from apple or android phones to a range of smart TVs. Once again, if they stream for many other clubs, why is this a problem for us ? ![]() It`s bloody tough being a legend Ron Atkinson - 1983 Post Edited (Sun 09 Aug 11:38) Reply |
| 46. Author: brian Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 13:23 sounds like a feeble excuse to me. I know a company that streams for mutiple clubs and has no such problems. yes I agree an App will be a good addition but I don`t think that`s the solution. ____________________ contact: email me Reply |
| 47. Author: MinnesotaAndy Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 13:47 When I contacted the club about the streaming problem, I was advised there would be a discussion with the relevant background parties to understand what happened. Aside: I would be happy enough if DAFC Live listed supported browsers. Discouraging browser use is ridiculous. Reply |
| 48. Author: RhinoPars Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 14:06 I took it to mean an app you can run on all platforms - desktop/laptop and phones. It would be ridiculous to only have a phone version. It is a bit of a lame excuse about the browsers. Fair enough for an obscure browser, but Chrome is the market leader and hence used by most people. Thus a browser version of the system should work on Chrome. There was never a problem accessing feeds on ParsTV from Chrome. While I am really appreciative and thankful for all the efforts of ParsTV home and away over the years. if DAFCLive can get the subscriber access to streaming issues sorted out the DAFCLive feed itself does appear so far to be an improvement with highlights, more replays, better camera work, better commentary and improved sound balancing between the commentator and co-commentator. Let`s hope the access problems are finally fixed this week. . Reply |

| 51. Author: ipswichpar Date: Sun 9th Aug 2026. 16:35 It does strike me as very weird that.... - it seems to be a constant problem with folk getting on even well before the match..... why isn`t it up and running well before so folk can make sure they can access it? - is there a user guide about the best things to do (or not do) if problems are encountered? Relying on a Facebook group seems nuts. - I cannot believe the browser explanation at all.... and if that`s the issue, how is it resolved so quickly.... do they get Google to release an update 18 minutes into the match? An app might be an alternative but it isn`t the solution to this specific problem. And I fear for the resolution time if that`s the quality and clarity of the responses being provided. Reply |
| 52. Author: andycarp Date: Tue 11th Aug 2026. 21:22 If you sign up to Dunfermline Athletic official website first. On the day that you subscribe you need to sign in first and if you are based in the UK you must have a VPN on and showing that you are in another country. Click on DAFC live and choose a monthly or yearly subscription. This option will not show if you are in the UK without a VPN. On match day sign into the main Dunfermline Athletic website and click on DAFC live and then click on live and follow the prompt to watch the game. I had difficulty with one browser but I use the option on a Amazon fire stick with no issues. I hope this helps you all. Reply |
