Gilmour is struggling for form himself just now but he’s hardly going to put a rocket up Andrew Tod to get home moving about and into the game. We’re currently carrying a few players and that doesn’t end well, couple of players to come back into the 11 which will help but no one should be guaranteed a start but it seems some are. Got a good hand to but went straight through him. Massive improvement need but NL does not know his best 11 or formation and that’s worrying as we have played 6 games. Reply |

Author: GJS93 Date: Sat 15th Aug 2026. 19:56 and the other 3 that were signed do they fit the system next to the 8 other starters, certainly up front in Shaw`s case he doesnt but that will be Tod`s fault as well. too many players have not turned up so far, the problems are not all down to 1 or 2 who seem to be the main focus for some. The shining light for me was the introduction of Oyirwoth who looks like the sort of player we`ve been missing - someone with physical presence who is capable of making an incisive pass. Sadly I think the player whose place is most under threat is Charlie Gilmour. He always seems to take the easy option which is fine in certain situations but not when you`re looking to exert pressure and convert it into goals. Reply |

Unless it’s put on a plate for him he just won’t do the rest of the dirty work to score. He is next to useless in the air. I watched closely in the second half when a great ball was crossed to him. He jumped a second too early resulting in it going over. Not for the first time either. I normally criticise Morrison and his final pass/cross is still lacking but he had something about him when he came on and worked their keeper. Lennon echoed my thoughts in his post match interview. He was clearly raging at the lack of leadership when the chips were down on our own patch. Zwei Pints Bier und ein Päckchen Chips bitte ![]() Reply |

| 130. Author: Hoolie Date: Sat 15th Aug 2026. 20:40 I just hope Lennon gets this team going as it’s his team now and not taking the huff like at hibs when it was going wrong? If most fans are seeing this then surely he has to change the formation? Reply |

Hopefully he has a bit of self reflection knowing that the shape with that personnel isn`t the way to go either and that`s on him and the management team. As for the players, some of them need to play an awful lot better or make way for the subs that are chomping at the bit to get on as we saw today. Changes required for next week as it`s not just a one off and Livingston away will be a much sterner test than Ross county at home Reply |
| 132. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Sat 15th Aug 2026. 22:21 Beaten by the better team today. You can`t play for 10 minutes and expect to win anything. The concern really is pur lack of ability to score goals and giving away poor goals. Its dejavu to this time last season. If you are looking to win the league this season, there is not much room for sentiment. You are only as good as your last game, and where players are underperforming, you have to drop them and give others the opportunity. No point in scapegoating individuals as it was collective failure, its looking at areas where you can make improvements. I think the three at the back worked last year because we had pace and strength. KN in particular could recover well and JCM was positionally good and won most headers. The balls out from the back were better last year. There is obviously a turnover of players this year and it takes a little time to gel, but I don`t think that was the issue today it was just a poor performance G Wardrope Reply |
