Author: summeragent Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 18:35 I think we have good players but it’s a results business. 2nd year of our plan and we don’t look like promotion material so where is this going? 7 goals in 9 games is not good enough!! Lose to PT on Tuesday and I think NL will be under pressure!! Reply |

| 66. Author: GJS93 Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 18:42 Tod wont recover the form of early last season when he is playing in a totally different position and role in a system that does not really suit any of the forward players.......that being said when the chances are coming in particular to Adams the last two games, its embarrassing stuff watching that. change things up top....Kane injured surprise surprise, Shaw cant play as a lone striker, Morrison cant beat any full back, Thomas is nowhere near ready to start yet so you are left with Rudden who might be injured unless it was just a tactical choice to leave him off the bench. "No place for Gilmour again. That’s telling" not really, it was the more like for like change with Bray and also not having to change the setup or Amade`s role in it. that should have changed though with the first subs and he should have been one of them. | 68. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:00 GSJ93 Tod’s best performance this season was the game against rovers when he came off the bench. Instead of learning from that Lenny put him straight back in where it’s the same result as it was before. Is Lenny hanging the likes of Tod out to dry playing him in current system or is it just at this point their form is such that they are not looking like championship level players? | 70. Author: Foresters Par Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:02 Frustrating but entertaining game. Forwards need to show more composure but goalkeeper and defence were solid. We`re not scoring to state the obvious but we are creating loads of chances and hit the post twice today. At some point everything is going to click. I hope. Reply |

| 74. Author: GJS93 Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:45 it worked a lot more often than it didnt last season, poor recruitment/planning in other areas is why its only one of them playing now. Reply |
| 75. Author: Foresters Par Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 19:53 Agreed. I thought they worked well together with Gilmour happy to go forward occasionally. It felt very solid for the last half of last season and not quite sure why this has been abandoned particularly after giving Gilmour the armband, For me this is weakness in Lennon`s selection process. | 77. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:07 Two points off the play off spots with two games in hand, and we`re going through a spell where we`re scoring a lot but, more importantly, we`re still not losing games. It would be bonkers to even consider Lennon being under pressure at this stage. We have arguably the best goalkeeper and defence in the league, joint second for the fewest goals conceded, and a pretty decent midfield. The obvious issue is our strikers aren`t taking their chances, but we`re still creating them. You`ve got to think our luck will turn eventually and, if the performances remain at this level, we`ll start climbing the table. We`ve played every team in the league now and, honestly, none have particularly impressed me. I`d argue we play the best football, but we`re just not getting the rewards for it yet. I understand football is a results business, and results do matter, but what we`re seeing is miles better than the football produced under our last four or five managers. I`m frustrated again today, as I`m sure most of us are, but I think there are enough positive signs to give us something to build on. I do sometimes feel that when I read back posts from 16:45, people are desperate to push a negative narrative rather than look at the bigger picture. As long as we`re picking up points and not losing games, even when we`re not at our best, we need to take the lessons from each match and move on. The finishing needs to improve, there`s no doubt about that, but I`m not seeing enough to suggest we should be panicking just yet. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |
| 78. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 17th Oct 2026. 20:29 Sacktheref, at what point to do move from improving to underachieving? I think we paid a fee for 6 of the players that were on the bench today? We’re certainly spending the money, regardless of whether it’s spent well or not that shifts expectations. Will be interesting to see how we fare against Partick on Tuesday, we’re already playing catch up and need to start beating the teams in the top half of the league.
