Wimbledon has been a great delight, since I was a lad, every year at the beginning of the school summer holidays. And more recently nothing better than seeing our own Andy Murray lift the trophy twice. With the demise of Jack Draper today, it emphasises even more the massive achievement of our Andy. I`ve noticed some English online commentators trying to belittle his achievements, but I reckon we`ll have to wait a few more decades before any British man can get anywhere near to Sir Andy. But well done to Jack for acknowledging Andy`s achievement.

Sabalenka vs Radacanu has been sensational - what a first set that was!

Yes pity Raducanu`s out. By the way, that guy Sinner`s some player. I suppose we`re all Sinners but few can command the court like that guy. It`s between him Alcaraz and maybe Djocovic but I would favour the Sinner.

Raducanu played very well. If she can avoid those niggling injuries that have plagued her she could have a very good chance of winning another championship or two.
But oh those unforced errors! No good hitting a brilliant passing shot then fluffing an easy volley at the net. More consistency please!

Some match just ended between Norrie and Jarry, Norrie winning in five sets after four and a half hours. Jarry seems to be the successor to the big-serving John Isner. Norrie's next match may be against Alcaraz!

Aye, Norrie`s the only brit to make it to the quarter finals. That effort today must have taken some toll on his energy. Would hope he can keep winning but that`s a long shot, I reckon.

Why does everything have to be moved to technology based? Absolute carnage in a match on Centre Court earlier due to the “automatic line calling” system being turned off during the match……why on earth have they done away with line judges?

Apparently the mistake was due to `operator error` according to BBC Sport -

The All England Club initially said the system was "deactivated on the point in question" because of "operator error".

A spokesperson said later on Sunday that, after further investigation, it was found the technology was "deactivated in error on part of the server`s side of the court for one game".

During that time, three calls on the affected side of the court were not picked up.

Helwerth (the umpire), who did not know the system had been turned off, called two of them himself before the incident highlighted by Pavlyuchenkova.

"We have apologised to the players involved," said a spokesperson for the All England Club.

"We continue to have full confidence in the accuracy of the ball-tracking technology.

"In this instance, there was a human error and as a consequence we have fully reviewed our processes and made the appropriate changes."

It seems that the system, like VAR, is only as reliable as the people operating it. I don`t understand why the umpire didn`t make the call himself the third time if he`d already done that twice.

I really enjoyed the Norrie v Jarry match. The levels were excellent across the five sets.
There can`t be too many in the game that are fitter than Cam?

I’ve met a few women like that over the years, wee eck.
Cilic v Cobolli is warming up. I hope Cilic can win the third set?

Cobolli takes him out in the tie break. Good game. Italy have some fine players in the Men’s.

Too many multi ball bouncing participants for my liking. Cilic bounced the ball 12 or 13 times before every service. It seems that`s a tactic of the older players, maybe to give themselves a short break from the action. Djokovic does the same. Bores me to death.

I know what you mean but I think they have 30 secs to serve so they can use that time as they wish.
I think Jarry complained about Norrie, but nothing in the rules to stop it.

Apparently the time limit only applies to the first serve so if they serve a fault they can take as long as they like to hit the second serve!
