| 43. Author: Tenruh Date: Tue 24th Dec 2024. 05:26 We`ve got the English Labour party with more Scottish seats in Westminster than our own Scottish parties, why is that? Pacifist states that the only party which will give us Independence is the SNP, how is that when they`ve lost in excess of 40 seats since 2015. Why has that come about. What are they doing to do differently for the public to return to them. He`s confident that the SNP will lead us to independence, where does that confidence come from, since 2015 they have been mandated not once or twice but over five times to get us independence and what have they achieved, zilch....they don`t even try to expose the annual Gers figure... What are they going to change in the next 10 years that makes him believe that the SNP will deliver independence ? Post Edited (Tue 24 Dec 05:30) Reply |

| 47. Author: jake89 Date: Wed 25th Dec 2024. 21:25 Tenruh, Wed 25 Dec 06:52 You`re confusing two things - one is running Scotland with Scotland`s interests at heart. IMO, only one party can do that and that`s the SNP. Maybe one day Alba but English registered parties will never be.any good for Scotland. The second is gaining actual independence. NO party can achieve this currently. Despite being told this is a union of equals, we have to ask permission for a vote and will always be told no. The likes of Salvo are looking for ways around this but the reality is it`s not simple. So vote Labour or Lib Dems if you want, all they`ll do is push policy that`s intended for England. That`s nothing against England, but what they want isn`t always what Scotland needs, and it often isn`t even what most of England needs! Reply |

Author: Buspasspar Date: Thu 29th Jan 2026. 15:51 From Aunty :- Women affected by changes to the state pension age have reacted with fury after ministers again rejected their claim for compensation. The government reconsidered the case after a new document came to light, but has again concluded no compensation should be paid. Campaigners say 3.6 million women born in the 1950s were not properly informed of the rise in their state pension age, which brought it into line with men. The Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) group said the latest decision demonstrated "utter contempt" for those affected.
