4. Author: The One Who Knocks Date: Sat 12th Oct 2024. 21:18 RIP to the man who could have been king. Perhaps his passing will see the independence cause come together once again. And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |

6. Author: desparado Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 04:10 Parboiled. It is safe to say we are at polar opposites politically But that comment of yours tells me we are also at polar opposites when it comes to being human. You really are a scum ball..a horrible nasty individual.. RIP AS What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
7. Author: desparado Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 04:17 I wonder how the hypocritical media will react to the untimely death of an “ extremist “ ? What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
8. Author: Parboiled Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 07:48 desperado, I was merely responding to a particularly stupid post though I suspect you agree with this “colonial occupiers” drivel Reply |
9. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 09:17 It’s a shame he has died younger than you’d think, especially after he provided us the biggest chance for Indy we will probably ever see. But we also cant ignore the fact he was a bit creepy towards the opposite sex. Then again, with nothing proven legally, it doesn’t require the posts like certain individuals have been giving it on socials (X) about him the minute he passed away. He wasn’t quite Jimmy Saville or Rolf Harris! RIP Reply |
10. Author: Tenruh Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 14:04 Sad day yesterday....you wonder what Scotland might have achieved if A.S. hadn`t stepped down in 2014 ? https://www.facebook.com/share/p/MCjzVy6TMrR7vZLx/ Reply |
11. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 13th Oct 2024. 19:53 According to the Cambridge dictionary a `colony` is `a country or area controlled politically by a more powerful country`. Given that Westminster is always going to be controlled by a majority of English MPs from a Unionist party is that not the situation Scotland is in? Reply |
12. Author: Back_oh_the_net Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 00:02 wee eck, Sun 13 Oct 19:53 It is indeed but I doubt the hard boiled Tory will let that stop him from being a total helmet as always Reply |
13. Author: Parboiled Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 12:24 The Scotch often send MPs south to help form a Govt the majority of English didn’t vote for… stop bitching over a sell out by your own folk 300 years ago Reply |
14. Author: DBP Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 12:30 Your post implies that the Scottish vote has tipped the balance and changed who is in power in Westminster? Can you give me examples of when the mps Scotland voted for, actually changed what government took power in Westminster, ie who would have assumed power had Scotland’s vote not been included please? I’m 50 years old and can’t think of any in my lifetime Reply |
15. Author: The One Who Knocks Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 12:37 With his last post Parboiled has exposed himself as purely a trol. He may be a migrant to this country but he`s been here long enough to know that `scotch` isn`t the correct term. And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |
16. Author: wee eck Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 13:13 `A sell out by your own folk` is a bit of a misrepresentation of the Treaty of Union. Did they hold a referendum in 1707? Reply |

Harold Wilson won a majority of 3. Without his 41 Scottish MPs, he wouldn’t have had a majority. Furthermore, Wilson and later Jim Callaghan lost their majority and relied on SNP support to keep them in power until the SNP dropped the sword of Damocles on Callaghan’s head and allowed Maggie T in. So I guess - by Wee Eck’s or Cambridge dictionary’s definition - England was a Scottish colony from 1974-1979. Scotland also represented the UK in 2 world cups in that era. Reply |

20. Author: DBP Date: Mon 14th Oct 2024. 17:25 Haha! So basically what your saying is that because I didn’t take part in the vote when I was 2 months old… from that point on, my vote (or anyone from Scotland for that matter) hasn’t had any real influence to affect the decision of which party governed us Nice Reply |
