Joanna Cherry was about the only MP who stood by him as she saw the injustice as a QC herself. So many of her colleagues were too scared to say anything to protect themselves. I don’t think Alex may have been agreeable to all who met him as he admitted himself but he was the finest politician our country produced not only in power but I’d say in 30 years.
