The BBC “anti Scottish”…give us examples do. Pro Israel? eh? They have repeatedly had to apologise for being anything but!

Last week the BBC reported that John Swinney was aware of Alexander Dennis leaving Scotland with the inference he`d done nothing. This obviously was far from the truth but the BBC headline suggested otherwise.

Remember: This was never about Iran’s nuclear capability, it was always about regime change.

It’s the fools elsewhere who have got hold of the nuclear buttons today that we should all worry about. We stand on the edge of a precipice.

Took, we`ve been hearing Iran are weeks away from nuclear weapons since the 80`s.
I guess if you have a hard on for Israel you`ll see what you want to through the kids burning bodies.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

"The Americans have officially joined the war bombing three Irani nuclear sites.

Indeed.

Submarine launched cruise missiles - whatever the rights and wrongs of the conflict Iran is riding the whirlwind.

Two B2 bombers were used. Each can carry two of the 30,000 Ilbs bunker busting munitions so I`d imagine that`s four of them dropped on the underground facility at Fordo while the thirty sub launched cruise missiles being used on the other two targets though also possibly to soften up the ground prior to the bunker busters making contact with earth.
How will the Iranians respond? Well they maybe won`t other than to continue their missile barrage against Israel. Any direct action against US assets in the region and they`ll face retaliatory strikes far greater than what happened last night. They could shut down the Strait of Hormuz where a whopping 20% of the globes oil supply passes but when those tankers pass through the gulf the majority of them no longer head west they instead turn east to Asia. I mean oil prices would go through the roof but in China there could actually be an oil shortages. Coincidentally the US plan for any conventional military confrontation with China is to use its navy to blockade oil travelling to China from west of India. I`d imagine and hope that China will use whatever influence it has over the Iranian regime to urge it to keep this waterway open.
It seems strange that after twenty five years the Iranian nuclear question has now, seemingly, been decisively answered but history doesn`t end and more questions have arisen waiting to be settled.

Trump and the whole US administration are lunatics. Trump
rebuked Zelenski about starting WWIII and now look what the citrus skinned psychopath has done.
The British poodles will no doubt get us involved too. More death more destruction more refugees and more terrorism. Madness.

If only Scotland was an independent country as we would absolutely nothing to do with this.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Just saw this post. Anyone who is remotely intelligent can see on an almost daily basis the bias from BBC with regards to Scottish politics. They don’t even try to hide it anymore.

Two different subjects on same thread.

I think the situation in Iraq will take precedence.

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Starmer the lap dog has already responded to the whistle by telling Iran to return to the table. No telling of Trump and Benjo to stop bombing them though…….embarrassing stuff

In order to get elected, @BarackObama will start a war with Iran.
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2011

Now that Obama’s poll numbers are in tailspin – watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran. He is desperate.
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 9, 2012

Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III.
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 31, 2013

I predict that President Obama will at some point attack Iran in order to save face!
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump), September 16, 2013

Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly-not skilled!

Looking forward to seeing Bibi Netanyahu on Friday, and even more forward to achieving Peace in the Middle East! DJT

Trump`s found God now as well! Nauseating stuff at the end of his speech. I`m surprised he was prepared to share credit with Him.

Dave, Starmer isn`t a lapdog. This isn`t a a university first year debating club that he`s taking part in. He has to tread a fine a line because we still need American support in Europe. If he wants to persuade Trump to continue to, however limited, support our Ukrainian allies then he can`t be lunging in two footed with criticism. He has to hedge his bets and watch his words.
The tone of Trump`s and Hegsworth`s boasting and hyperbole makes for uncomfortable listening but then so to was listening to the Iranian foreign minister (I think that`s his position) speaking a short while ago in Istanbul. He spoke of America and Israel breaking international law with their actions. No doubt but no more than Russia has with their illegal invasion of Ukraine. Worth remembering that Ukrainian civilians and soldiers have died in their hundreds, if not thousands, due to Iranian supplied drones. Border integrity and international law didn`t seem to mean much to them when it was their strategic partner being the aggressor.
Long term there can only be a diplomatic solution to this or this will just be rinse and repeat for years to come. Unfortunately as it stands just now I doubt Trump and his cohorts have the nous to pull that off.

TOWK, why do you defend Ukrainian politicians who make speeches promising retribution for their invaders yet criticise Iranian ones for doing the same?

How many countries in the region have the US, or its attack dog, bombed now? How many civilians have they killed or maimed?

How sure are you that Iran are the bad guys here?

I don`t remember defending Ukrainian politicians recently (certainly not in this thread?) but I was criticising the hiporacy of the Iranians, perhaps quite rightfully, being embittered about the actions of Israel and America breaking international law while at the same time being wholly supportive and complicit in Russia doing exactly the same to another sovereign nation.

Israel has just targeted Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran with huge explosives. Many were reported to be dead.

Be patient, Iran is coming for these swine.
