21. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 17th Feb 2026. 19:51 Hoolie, Tue 17 Feb 18:47 One look at the Dunfermline Press Facebook will show that many people think otherwise. The recent opening of Good Burger is an example. People commenting that it`s run by rhyming slang for a racial slur. Same with comments about any vacant land being made in mosques. Legal or illegal, the racists are out there being cunts. Reply

Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Tue 17th Feb 2026. 20:39 Topic Originator: jake89 Read 4 stories on the Press FB page in search of these alleged comments and the only criticisms I can find is the location, opening times, obesity concerns and someone who would not eat there because it is halal? Can you direct me to these posts jake? ![]() Reply |

Also, great that Rupert is going after grooming gangs. Will he also be sounding out the elites if the UK that are on the Epstein files for questioning? 🤔 Reply |
26. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 17th Feb 2026. 21:10 Facebook post about Lloyds closing - includes comments about using it for refugees, mosques and "houses for boat people". Facebook post about a man who passed away waiting for a care package - includes comments about boat people and immigrants. Facebook post about Good burger - comments appear to have been edited but had at least two comments about it being run by "Hamilton accies". What`s bizarre is these comments are often from people in England or other parts of Scotland. Reply

28. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 17th Feb 2026. 21:32 Bletchley_Par, Tue 17 Feb 21:22 The point is about racism. If you don`t see racism in those examples then you must have the intelligence of a mouldy grape. Reply
29. Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Tue 17th Feb 2026. 21:53 You never seem to come with receipts jake, just hearsay and name calling. The people who will be voting for this great "unite the right coalition" come general election time are immune to cries of racism, if anything that is probably why they are going to vote the way they are. ![]() Reply

36. Author: jake89 Date: Wed 18th Feb 2026. 15:18 Dunfermline Press Facebook post about an abuser being done. Worth a read of the comments before they get deleted. Comments about the perpetrators ethnicity, that it`s the "usual suspects" and about what religious book he might read. And an obligatory "I`d get in trouble if I said what I think" from someone with a Reform logo as their profile pic. Reply
37. Author: desparado Date: Wed 18th Feb 2026. 17:05 Topic Originator: Hoolie Date: Tue 17 Feb 18:47 I think a lot of the problems is the use of the word immigrant. If people from other countries want to come over and work/pay their way and help the economy then that’s great and I hope they live many years in Britain. It’s the Illegal immigrants that have come over and getting put up in hotels etc that is annoying British hard working people imo. It’s the billions that have been spent on them getting housed/healthcare and benefits and our own British people are struggling. But to be honest I think the government has broken Britain and it can’t be fixed and there will be civil unrest on the streets in a years time between gangs/religions. I like what Rupert Lowe/Farage has to say but the whole lot of them and that includes that wee rocket Starmer are all liars. Mind you the Tory lass is a good watch when she tears Starmer apart in the commons. As for SNP I think it will take a full overhaul getting rid off the deadwood after what Nippy Nicky and her husband did. “ What Nippy Nicky and her husband …*did. I am no legal eagle but my understanding is that NS was investigated and * No charges have been brought. So therefore she is completely innocent of any wrong doing in the eyes of the law. With regards to her husband you have just assumed his guilt. That amounts to contempt as your comment is on a public forum. Maybe the comment should be removed ? It’s a live case and Murrell the same as everyone else is innocent until proven guilty. Whilst the charge of misappropriating funds ( SNP funds it has to be said ) is a serious one it pales into insignificance compared to the Tory Gov for example who gave millions of tax payers money to their mates during COVID with Mone and Hancock old pal being two of the most prominent examples. In my opinion the second example is way more serious than the first but as we all know nothing will happen regarding the UK Govs fragrant abuse of power when handing out our cash to help their pals. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply

39. Author: desparado Date: Wed 18th Feb 2026. 18:19 It not just a feature of this forum but true in general. Media scrutiny and blatant bias against Scot Gov compared say to the devolved administration in Wales. If Plaid continue to garner support in Wales it will be a cert that the media will use the same tactics against them as they do up here. Negative, negative, negative and absolutely nothing positive ever.. Post Edited (Wed 18 Feb 18:20) Reply
40. Author: McCaig`s Tower Date: Wed 18th Feb 2026. 19:18 Going back to the OP – if they are gaining favour in polls, this seems like another “none of the above” opinion, with the addition of “not them either”. Does this lot have any policies other than “send them back”? Does it have any members other than Rupert Lowe? From where is their support coming? Disaffected Reform voters? I note Farage has been having a go at Lowe. And he’s named a very light “cabinet”. He’s doubled down with the “we need experience” line which is interesting as a lot of his apparent appeal was being new and different rather than tired retreads. Lowe meanwhile was an unpopular chairman of Southampton FC back in the day. He was unceremoniously booted out of Reform so he must have done something that Farage couldn’t tolerate. Whether it was his opinions on immigration, the allegations against him, or the fact that he challenged Farage’s authority I don’t know. And what is the tax-free limit on wages? Reply
