That was one of the worst red card decisions I`ve ever seen in my life. Bene clearly won the ball. It wasn`t even a foul, let alone a red card.

Ironically, going down to 10 men may have saved us, because we immediately stopped playing out from the back.

I don`t disagree with Tidser`s basic desire to keep possession, but we have a goalie who can drop a ball on the head of a pin from 70 yards and Kane will win the ball or a free kick about 70% of the time that he`s anywhere near it. McCann is strong in the challenge and can win more than his fair share of high balls. The squad is calling out to have a direct ball as an option at the very least.

That was by no means pretty but with everything stacked against that team, they somehow dug that out, so hats aff to the lot of them.

Anyone doubting how important Chris Kane is to this team, well there`s your answer.

Silly question, but, can we afford to pay win bonus?

Don`t think anyone was doubting his importance to the team. The issue is we know what he can do when fit unfortunately that isn`t very often. Good to see him bailing us out today.

c'mon the pars

If we punt it up the park and play in the opposition half, we will always have a chance with Kane on the pitch. We need him for the rest of the season.

I must`ve dreamt reading that he only scores penalties and deflections. Apologies.

McCann seemed to come alive when Kane came on. Special mention to Comrie. Thought he was excellent. I was right behind the Bene red. Looks like he got the ball as it went off at an angle after the challenge. Hard to tell though

Today shows how vital Chris Kane is to the team. We could do with another 4 or 5 of him! Credit to McCann as well because he seriously upped his game when Kane came on. I would love to see Kane and Young get a string of games together as I seriously think they would provide us much needed goals playing together.

Hopefully Kane can keep himself fit between now and the end of the season as there’s no chance we would have pulled that back without his help. What he can create out of nothing is incredible. I still don’t get why Young was hooked over Yeboah as I fail to see what he brings to the team - but the main thing is we got the victory. Big credit to Tobi as well for making a few decent saves to keep us in the game. Hopefully we can got Falkirk with a fit Chris Kane and a little bit of belief.

McCann was my MotM - He was so determined today, never gave up & chased down every ball. Great effort Lewis.

Oakley-Boothe needs a rocket up him. Strolling around in the midfield when we were up against it, there is a player in there but he’s to casual/laid back in his play not quick nor decisive enough.

The play is still not quick enough nor connected, we need to be quicker + more direct.

Showed a bit of character to win it after Bene was sent off.

Heads up Pars we can get out of this!

Great win , here`s hoping that is the catylst we needed , and we can continue to get results and others around us start losing !
I for one thought when we went 1-0 behind it was here we go again Dunfermline Nil as I didn`t see that coming , I was hoping for 2 own goals to get the win as I didnt think we had anyone that could put it in the back of the net , how wrong was I , So a big well done Boys , My saturday night isn`t crap now

A word too for Chris Hamilton who didn`t put a foot wrong after coming on. Fogarty was fine too. Definitely an argument that Benedictus was needing dropped anyway. Will see how we fare without him next week (we can possibly appeal the red card but I can`t see it being overturned).

First half was a pretty brutal watch, the pitch is horrendous.

Nice to see us play a bit more direct and credit to Tidser for making that change, the pitch may have forced his hand but glad he changed it. First half though it didn’t work but paid dividends in the second.

Was baffled at the booing when Kane was subbed on for Young, it was exactly the right substitution, and Kane showed why we absolutely need him fit.

When Kane came on, McCann looked a different person, which was positive in terms of the match but not sure why it took that for him to get into gear.

Kane MoM for obvious reasons.

Kane so important but a shout out for Comrie winning that important header which led to the goal. Good to see him with the armband too.

I don’t think anyone was booing Kane coming on it was the fact that Young was subbed instead of Yeboah. In the end, we got the much needed victory and it ended up being the right decision. As I said earlier, I’d love to see Young and Kane upfront together in the future.

First half was dug meat. We were far too narrow and it played right into Morton’s hands. Tobi however played well that half, couple of important saves.

2nd half change of formation helped give us width, a bit of space and then our pace overwhelmed them. Even after Bene going off we were the better team on the whole.

Genuinely, no idea why there was booing of the substitution. I didn`t think Young had done anything to warrant staying on.

The boos were directed at the decision to substitute Young while leaving Yeboah on the pitch. Personally, I fail to see what Yeboah contributes to the team, yet he consistently gets game time. At no point was Kane subjected to the boos. I love Kane and the value he brings to the squad; his unwavering grit and determination make him a formidable challenge for defenders. I relish his presence on the field, as I firmly believe that with him, our chances of success significantly increase. Therefore, we must protect him at all costs and ensure his return for Saturday`s match. Wrap him in bubble wrap.

Lesley King, during his struggles with injuries, refrained from training throughout the week, relying exclusively on cycling and swimming due to the limitations of his knee. Yet when Saturday arrived, he would grace the pitch as an exceptional defender. Had it not been for his injuries, I believe he would have been regarded as one of the best defenders in the world. I feel that a similar approach should be adopted with Kane—allow him to recuperate during the week and let him shine on Saturdays
