43. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 21:47 I just wonder about the motives of the people leaking the information. I assume they were expected to respect confidentiality. Surely you can understand why people would be sceptical of information from unattributed sources. Reply |
44. Author: kelty_par Date: Sun 9th Mar 2025. 22:03 Funny how all these folk have sources, and say things like "people talk" and yet since GmbH said they were leaving the ITK stuff has generally been well wide of the mark or they haven`t posted a single rumour about e.g. us signing Young or Bray or any of the loanees. It`s almost as if it`s total garbage. Reply |
45. Author: Doves Date: Mon 10th Mar 2025. 02:45 He won`t be sacked, he will get this season and a good portion of next provided there is some improvement but Tidser has to start getting the best out of what he has and stop playing in a style that doesn`t suit. Too many managers are stubborn as all he`ll. It`s alright to change tack. Reply |
46. Author: The Boss Date: Mon 10th Mar 2025. 09:55 Should he be sacked if we get relegated though? He’s had more than enough time to keep us up. Surely he’d have to go. I like black and white (dreaming of black and white) You like black and white Run run away Reply |

52. Author: Never10yairds Date: Wed 12th Mar 2025. 10:40 To be fair par Dan, I was very critical of the Tidser appointment and I wasn’t banned or carded. Had a bit of a pile on from the blindly optimistic posters telling me how great he’d be and how we’d definitely pick up under him, he’d have us climbing the league etc but the admins never troubled me with any form of censorship. However Cooke should have one….. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |
54. Author: summeragent Date: Wed 12th Mar 2025. 11:13 His appointment feels like ‘deja vu’ of constant underwhelming appointments and the never ending nightmare of disappointing football and underachievements. Will we ever break the cycle, get a good manager and coach, a leader on the park and a decent team! I totally despair!! Reply |

I must have missed that. 🤔 I do recall there were plenty of posts suggesting he was a poor appointment and that we should have gone for an experienced manager. These same posters weren`t long in telling us "I told you so" as soon as the first poor results came along. I`m not sure if those who fans who suggested we give him at least some games before passing judgement are those you`ve referred to as "blindly optimistic." 🤔 ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. 57. Author: Berkey Date: Wed 12th Mar 2025. 18:57 Good point about should Tidser be sacked if we go down. Yogi was hounded out of the club when we last went down, there was zero chance of him staying, surely that would be the same fate for Tidser given how long he’ll have had to keep us up. Or would we have kept yogi if he had a 2 years still to run? I still live in hope tidser gets something right and a player or 2 suddenly hits some form but if they haven’t produced already this season why would they now? 58. Author: RossDAFC88 Date: Wed 12th Mar 2025. 21:02 I am the most vocal critic of Tidsers; however, in the league, his record stands at two wins, two draws, and three defeats. This is not an unfavourable return. Two of the three losses were against Hamilton and Airdrie. Which is what leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Watching his pre-match interview for the Raith game , I sensed a lack of optimism in his tone. At least, that is my interpretation! He ought to understand that it is a derby match, acknowledge our defeat against Falkirk, and assert our determination to rectify our mistakes. The players must be on the front foot from the whistle. I didn’t mind Yogi Hughes as our manager. He accumulated more points during his tenure than the Rovers did. However, it was Peter Grant who brought us to ruin. His failure to maintain our status ultimately marred his legacy. Had he succeeded in maintaining us in the league, can only speculate on the possibilities that might have unfolded. Reply |

That`s from the Airdrie away game onwards. So, apart from the Airdrie game our defensive record has been half decent (conceded 4 in 6 games.) I`d settle for eight nil nil draws in our remaining games, if it would keep us up! Defend for yer lives boys!
