203. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 07:23 The amount of sympathy on SM for a club thats knowingly broken the rules to gain points is mental! If it had been one of the OF doing it people would be losing their minds Reply |
204. Author: thenatural Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 08:21 I was scrolling through an Accies social media channel yesterday. The prevailing attitude was that they are bang to rights. Opinions seemed to vary on club custodians being incompetent, cheats or crooks. Unfortunately, fan anger seems to have led to a nasty incident at the game yesterday. Reply |
205. Author: Jeffery Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 08:43 Not sure how right it is but I was told yesterday that there are only three points of the deduction that can be contested by Hamilton. Sounded strange but if that is correct they`d still find themselves 4 points adrift. They would have to beat Falkirk and Livi to avoid finishing bottom. I probably wouldn`t gamble on that happening.... Reply |
206. Author: GG Riva Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 09:01 Dave_1885, Sun 20 Apr 07:23 I think you`ll find that the sympathy is for Hamilton`s fans, rather than the lying chancers running the club, Dave. I`m perfectly aligned with that. Pars fans experienced similar messages of support in 2013. I don`t think Masterton and Yorkston can claim the same. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. 207. Author: DBP Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 10:06 I agree WhileI recognise we have benefited (even if it was nothing more than removing some pressure relating to our league position), I do think that any club flouting the rules should be appropriately punished - so no sympathy for the club… But the flip side of that is the people who will be hurting the most are the Hamilton fans. While they will have enjoyed the results, they didn’t themselves do anything wrong and essentially are the ones will suffer the much of the consequences Reply |

210. Author: jake89 Date: Sun 20th Apr 2025. 12:26 I wouldn`t want any club going out of business but I don`t have much sympathy in a club that effectively cheated. Were the teams around us feeling sorry when we got a 15 point deduction (and threat of a further 10 point deduction) back in 2013? Of course they weren`t and we were in a far better position (3 points off a play off position if it weren`t for the deduction). I`m sure the Cowdenbeath fan(s) were crying into their Buckie seeing us fall into the play off spot instead of them... Reply |

212. Author: GG Riva Date: Tue 22nd Apr 2025. 08:49 Kdy Par, Tue 22 Apr 08:32 I read somewhere that it`s been set for the 30th of April. Next to no chance of the club getting a reprieve. The rap sheet is pretty damning. They might get a token 3 pt reduction, which wouldn`t help very much. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |

214. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Tue 22nd Apr 2025. 13:45 I don`t think it`s in Scottish Footballs interest for clubs to go to the wall. We need healthy competition in all leagues to improve the game and entertainment levels. Whether a team like RR performs well, gets promoted etc. Is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things because it is more important what we do rather than worry or become preiccupied by others. The losers in these sorts of events are fans and players and Scottush Football more generally. With clubs going in and out of administration more generally, it is symptomatic of a wider problem in the game and the ability to maintain a sustainable model. G Wardrope Reply |
215. Author: GJS93 Date: Wed 23rd Apr 2025. 17:44 appeal now submitted so it goes to the SFA judicial panel to see if there is any merit to it, it could be thrown out straight away but if it doesnt then there will be a hearing will be next week. Reply |

218. Author: Playup_Pompey Date: Thu 24th Apr 2025. 11:32 sounds like getting some reprieve on stadium rent for the next year. hopefully helps them continue with some comfort whatever division they end up playing in. ![]() Reply |
219. Author: kozmasrightfoot Date: Thu 24th Apr 2025. 12:57 I`m not even going to touch wood when I say this because I highly doubt their appeal will be successful. Even handing them back a token 3 points seems unlikely. They`ve cheated and have been fittingly punished. Good news about the stadium though, that could be the difference between them going to the wall or surviving. I take no pleasure from other clubs going out of business. I wouldn`t even want it to happen to F*lkirk and I hate them with extreme vehemence (Norrie songs). It`s worth keeping them around for the occasional times that we batter them or pip them to a title. Their success this season has been sickening. Hopefully they get pumped every week on the SPL next season and come straight back down to face a vastly improved Pars side, unless we somehow manage promotion next season. I don`t know if I`d want that though as I think it would be too soon in our development. We`re going to need at least 3 transfer windows to form a team capable of at least not embarrassing ourselves in the SPL. Also, St Johnstone (most likely will prove to be a deadly opponent, and maybe a 2nd SPL side will follow them down. I don`t feel any near such vitriol towards any other club. I severely dislike the old firm, but that`s only because they`re holding Scottish football back by limiting the size of the SPL to as few clubs as possible. Get that advert out of my face,I can`t see what I`m writing ffs. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Alternative rock fan. Not a fan of much else. Reply |
