Pretty sure Comrie now lives in Hamilton with his partner and young child. Morton, Partick or Accies if they can sort themselves out might be good options for him.

I don`t know how accurate this is, but a mate was told that Comrie was offered a new contract and turned it down. He`s been travelling through from the West for a few years now, and it may be that his agent has found him a club nearer home.

All the best, Aaron. A consummate professional and a fine player who has always given 100% every time he stepped on the pitch. Not least, a warm, humble and very likeable young man.

He stays in glenrothes.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Agreed on Oakley-Booth.

You could see he was used to perhaps playing at a higher level with better players.

Quite a few times he would have the ball in decent positions and you could see him visibly frustrated that team mate(s) weren`t where they should be - or at least where he expected them to be - in terms of their positioning to move the ball onto them which would often result in him being closed down or forced into having to go back the way or even losing possession and end up with the fans on his back.

I assume Comrie will get a good club, I hope so, he`s a very good Championship player and wouldn`t be out of place at a level up.

Is Sam Young not on the list? He didn`t make the cut at Forfar, I thought his contract is up.

Sam Young still has another year left on his contract

And is a very good prospect too.

I honestly think he`d struggle in a top 4 Championship side. I get the sentiment around homegrown players, it`s always nice seeing one of our own come through. But sentiment doesn`t win games. If we`re serious about improving the squad and our league position, we need better quality.

c'mon the pars

Presumably Memhet is still under contract for another season ?

Otherwise he would be in the exit queue.

No doubt Oakley is a very good player who could play at a higher level but has lost the hunger for the game, hence the reason he ended up at the bottom end of the Scottish championship.

As mentioned tends to start games well, the opposition then position a guy near him then he disappears completely and stops showing for it. originally put it down to lack of matches but it persisted. Not sure this league is the right one for him as you get kicked and don’t get the time on the ball.

He may improve with better players that can take it into feet but needs to be far more active and have more fight for me.

It’s getting close to last chance saloon for him to play at a higher level, perhaps a 1 year deal where he gives it a real go and he could end up getting a move back up the leagues even if not with us.

I agree with Berkey there. Oakley-Boothe does look like he has some quality, but for me, doesn`t look like he has the heart. Strikes me as the sort of player that had too much too young and has been coasting along on past glories for a while now. If someone could get something out of him (and if anyone can, it`ll be Lennon), then there`s a player there, but I bet there are a lot of managers that have tried and he`s not repaid that faith

Im at loggerheads with myself here.
Whose judgement to trust?
Niel Lennon or the dotnet supreme court.

This could take a while to figure out.

.net supreme court has had to watch most of this dross a lot longer then Neil Lennon

Good job we have you and Bamba. I hope Lennon has the sense to bounce his thoughts off you before making any important decisions.
It would be foolish to ignore all that experience.

Just a pity the last 4 managers never had that sense and just maybe we wouldn’t have been stuck with the horrendous squad we have all had to endure for the last 4/5 years

Nice deflection.

We are not talking about any other managers. This list is Lennon`s choice.
Do you really think you are better equipped to assess the players?

He knows his plans, what support he has, and the capabilities of the players. He can also assess how they will fit with what he brings in.

Time to bin the past.

Spot on GGRiva - thanks to him for his efforts. Always seemed to be someone who gave his very best. Seemed from interviews to be a nice guy too. As others have said he is probably more suited to a back four rather than being a wing back. He may have faced competition from Bray next season and so may be looking for more game time as well as less of a commute. Seemed to do best with a winger outside (KRH pre injury). He used to quite often manage to get himself in good positions to score but only sometimes was able to convert. I wish him all the best for the future.

Aaron has been a great servant to the Pars. A player who always gave 100%. If there had been a team full of players with his attitude alone over his time with us we wouldn’t be in the situation we have been over the last few seasons. I hope he gets sorted with a good club, I’m sure he will. He deserves nothing but respect from us.

Every squad needs players like Aaron Comrie. Not only was he a dependable RB, he also showed he could slot into a central defensive role when asked. Although not a natural wing back he actually got into good positions in the opposing penalty box and scored 8 goals for us, not all from set plays. He was one player who defied the logic of those fans who thought anyone who was part of the squad who got us relegated to League 1 should have been binned long ago.

It may be that the way NL wants to play might not suit his style and a move might be beneficial because, at his age, he needs to be playing regularly.

Agree wee eck, I view Comrie leaving as Lennon looking at players to play certain positions rather than perpetuating the problems we have had over the last few years of bringing players in (and keeping players) without a view of where exactly we want to play them in the system.

Ie Lennon goes with a back 3 with wing backs and that’s no good to Comrie who is best in a back 4.

That might be your perception but it`s unlikely to have been the reality. It overlooks the constraints being applied previously when trying to recruit players.

Not sure on the comparison between Ferguson and wanyama.

Ferguson was a consummate professional who set and expected high standards from others and although he had lost a yard he still have the brain and kept himself in shape. wanyama rocked up having not looked after himself for the best part of a year and was pretty much retired and coasting.

Wanyama needs to show he’s prepared to change his lifestyle and get back to full fitness before we should offer him anything. He’s a Lennon fav so he’ll likely get a deal this week if he wants it. He’ll be worth millions so spending the summer and the next year doing the hard yards without a holiday for a few thousand a week it a big test!

If it works, it’s a good comparison-if it doesn’t, it’s a failed attempt at something.

Time will tell 🤷🏻‍♂️

If we sign him, I hope it works. Thats all I’d say.
