Mcleod was probably out most creative/dynamic player when he came on today. It was also good to see KRH taking people on again. I`ve said it before, but Otoo is not a wide player.

We need Ayr to beat St. Mirren, either in 90 minutes or after penalties tomorrow.

Bit of a farce really, Ayr know they can lose 7-0 tomorrow and still qualify. Said it on the other thread they should have been playing at the same time as everyone else today.

Sporting integrity is less important than TV money to our authorities it seems.

"well done Mcleod first senior goal ! and good penalty right in the corner"

Good to see him skelpt it. I thought Mullen was unlucky - headed two or three that maybe should`ve gone in.

Ayr win and they`re seeded for the next round, avoiding the 5 top teams in Europe. They`ll be out to win.

Pleased that we improved in the second half. Bray and McLeod looked lively, and Young also looked better. Overall, I suppose our 3 wins out of 4 was decent, and there`s a slim chance Ayr might do us a favour tomorrow. Lovely goal from Andrew Tod, and decent 90 minutes from John Tod and Charlie (?) Gilmour. Mehmet did all that was required and I wouldn`t be bothered if he was in goal going into the league games.

No-one played badly but a few out there today showed that we really need better for the league campaign. NL will know it too.

NL has completely revamped the squad with no time to bed in all the players outside of the League Cup games. He’s won 3 games and is getting to know a group of young players. I’m sure a couple of established players will come along before the end of the window but getting the team ready for the League campaign trumps everything else. Also those more experienced players need to be the right calibre to help develop a young squad. Two poor defensive decisions in the Hearts game may be enough to knock us out but all in all I think it’s building nicely. I’d rather the Pars went into this campaign with a squad of exciting youngsters than some of the last pay packet chancers we’ve had in the past.

Good SH against a not surprisingly tired Albion side. Could have and should have scored a couple more.

Great to see the two Tod brothers playing so well. Andrew took his goal well but missed an absolute sitter earlier. He has goals in him though….that’s three now.

So important to have midfielders who can chip in with goals. We just need another striker and a left midfielder.

Amade and Gilmour for me in central midfield. I prefer those two to TOB.

The bread and butter starts next week. Would love to see a signing before then. One that gets tongues wagging..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Much better second half, we created much more.

McLeod looked like a player when he came on

I was happy for us to use the LC to blood the young players in, and that`s what we have done.

They have all been good to varying degrees, so for me, we have a base going into the season.

Of course, we need more bodies (not easy, we don`t want any more experienced headbangers) but we`ve absolutely got a decent start to build on

My own thoughts before this was I would be happy enough to comfortably avoid relegation places and push for the play offs, we have a lot to build! And I still think we are good to be close to playoff places.

Should ask the 2 guys in the back of the Norrie what to do, they seem to know everything about football!🤔🤣🤣🤣

We’ve won 3/4 but really think we need some creative players and a backup
for Kane still. Cried out for it all last season, and we’ve signed youngsters but no real experience apart from Gilmore who’s more of a cdm

After watching that, I confidently predict that from now, every game involving the Pars will be a game of two halves.

Surprised you can understand one of them, usually it`s unaudable nonsense.

I felt like I was in a Fast Show sketch today.
The wee man who’s autistic wanted a shot of sitting right at the top of the Norrie for a few minutes.
We were there an hour early and hardly anybody in the stand.
Cue two men turned up. “sorry mate we’re sitting there”

Another win but even last years team would beat these league 2 teams and hamilton. You can only beat what’s in front of you I guess but I don’t think anyone knows how this team will fare in the championship but most would agree we’re some way off top 3. For all the signings etc we have made we still haven’t corrected the main failings from last season.

Big week to get a player or 2 in who is already capable of playing well in the championship.

The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

But on to game itself.
It was surprisingly flat, no intensity till the last 20 minutes or so.
Played like a friendly in a very forgettable first half.
The subs definitely livened up the match.

Andy Tod was the clear threat and should have had a brace today.

I guess it didn’t matter if it was 2-0 or 7-0 in hindsight but I was surprised we didn’t go flat out from the get go as we had no way of knowing other results.

We’re all Ayr fans tomorrow but it’s a big ask as they are through regardless.

A 7-0 win would have us comfortably through.
