No idea why McPake didn’t have DM’s analysis for his time here. Everyone else did. ”Buffy’s Buns are the finest in Fife”, J. Spence 2019” Post Edited (Wed 20 Aug 13:55) Reply |

50. Author: cammypar 1995 Date: Wed 20th Aug 2025. 14:34 It might just be that the club genuinely didn’t have anyone in that role when McPake was there, or at least not in the way he’d have liked. Could’ve been part time or shared across different areas, or just not as in depth as he would have liked. He could also use that kind of line to underline how limited resources were, it doesn’t necessarily mean there was no one at all, more that he didn’t feel he had a proper dedicated analyst. If he’s saying it, there’s probably some truth to it, even if things are different now. c'mon the pars Post Edited (Wed 20 Aug 14:35) Reply |
51. Author: GJS93 Date: Wed 20th Aug 2025. 18:35 maybe Honeyman is full time now and was part time in McPake`s reign. "I notice this season we have also changed the Physio and Club Doctor" physio yes, doctor hasnt changed. Reply |

FFS... are you serious? ÂŁ45k? Generally, Australians` pay is slightly higher than in the UK, but the salary for a graduate you quote is way out of kilter with reality. $36,000 should be about right. The Pars may be quoting a wee bit low, but there`s a thing called negotiation. Reply |
59. Author: Never10yairds Date: Fri 22nd Aug 2025. 11:51 I was shocked how low that salary was. You’d struggle to keep a decent standard of living as a single person for that never mind support a family. I guess it is the market though, a lot of guys doing these degrees because they want to be involved in football so the money won’t be great in a competitive field. I’d imagine if you prove to be great at it you can maybe earn a bit more though. Reply |
60. Author: neils Date: Fri 22nd Aug 2025. 12:08 If thats the market rate, but it seems low- depends on degree and what we need though, I`m not thinking we are interested in competing with financial institutions -no one can! Likewise the job doesn`t sound like it needs the capabilities of the financial sector though, just decent capabilities -from the job description (I`ve worked on football betting for 20+ years all over the world) this sounds like a decent starting job, not needing Einstein Quoting other countries salaries is meaningless, the UK proportionally dominates this area, hence the high salaries in the field-theres a reason why it`s so big. Sports analysis isn`t hard to recruit in betting , I`m guessing football is even easier-getting genuinely very good people (and not some corporate hogwash like `amazing staff`) is more difficult -this position may not need top drawer, but someone capable and crucially motivated.
