Wouldn’t mind a loan for Andy Halliday to the end of the season. As mentioned above there is a bit of a gap if Gilmour was to get injured/lose form and would add good experience to the squad. Halliday was one of Wells better players last season but is out of sorts with the new manager.

Read he is heading to Partick

Maybe the `Well manager isn`t keen on him recording podcasts about how much he loves Rangers every other week.

In his interview, Jefferson stated that NL felt he needed to adjust to the physical aspects of the Championship. He needs to build himself physically for that. It will take a bit of time, but if he can do that he will be a real threat at this level. I think also the style of play is different. There have been a number of occasions where he has been in good positions but not given the ball. He has good vision and if players are in good positions he will give them the ball. It`s just that adjustment that he needs to make in terms of style of play and physicality. He has all the other attributes

If he’s struggling physically at our level, then the English championship is going to be beyond him.

To be honest, it doesn’t sit comfortably with me, current players talking about teams they support in that way, or plastering it across their social media. So it surely can’t sit well with some/most managers.

"I`ve always suspected we were `bounced` into taking him from Sheffield United to free up a loan slot for a defensive player they wanted"

https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/sheffield-uniteds-january-reset-gathers-pace-as-decisions-made-on-quartets-future-after-disastrous-chapter-5461491

"Former Chelsea man Alex Matos will be allowed to leave Sheffield United in this transfer window if the Blades receive a suitable offer, The Star understands, while all of the signings made in United’s disastrous AI experiment have also been made available to depart Bramall Lane. Matos only signed in the summer in a permanent deal from Chelsea."

"The AI experiment signings who remain at Bramall Lane - Bulgarian right back Mihail Polendakov, winger Christian Nwachukwu and fellow Nigerian forward Ehije Ukaki - are also free to leave after failing to justify their arrivals as part of the disastrous transfer policy effectively overseen by self-styled data guru James Bord."

Only bothered about what happens here and I`m pleased with the signings we`ve made.

I think as NL has said its a mix of AI and good old fashioned management to identify players who may fit the team, bring them in, and improve them. Anyone who uses AI or other software, for that matter, should always understand its limitations on use and check the results. All software, no matter AI or other, is developed by human beings, therefore subject to human frailties. Despite the hype, I don`t see it replacing many jobs, other than repetitive tasks like certain admin. It can not and should not be a direct replacement for human decision-making, merely an aid to it.

Polendakov is only 18 years old. Christian Nwachukwu is 20 years old, and Ehije Ukaki is 21 years old. These are obviously players still in development.

Exactly this. If AI was perfect then there would be no need for scouts. It`s no different to Football Manager where you can see all the ratings for a player. Just because it shows they`re can hit a ball in a net doesn`t mean they`ll be a top goalscorer in your team.

From the chat I heard from Legends when he was over, James Bord seems to recognise that we are lacking experience right now.

The fact he can see that gives me confidence in what we are doing.
