Author: king lad Date: Sun 18th Jan 2026. 16:04 Ref had a good game in terms of decisions imo, but how Hibs got away with countless yellow card offenses when the Pars broke on the counter and they just dragged a player back or tripped them from behind was unbelievable. Rocky Bushiri spent more time on the floor than actually defending. Reply

Although at the end, things didn`t go well for him, he was always honest, never blamed the players and really felt the pain of bad results like we did. Absolutely this btw. I was shocked he was there for a moment but actually it was nice to hear him speak about the likes of Andy Tod with affection he has been part of his development. Lenny showing class and acknowledged the previous owners weren`t what the club needed. Sure McPake will find his place. Reply

Hibs players were conning the ref, slightest touch and they were falling down. The ref was so weak at least 16 of these free kicks should never have been awarded Like others, I thought the Ref was ok. Can’t believe Bowie wasn’t flagged off at the 1v1, and Hibs kept getting away with the fouls on the break…but there you go. Back to your point, I would like to see us more like this. Maybe it comes with being young and youthful, but I genuinely think the more successful teams adopt the dark arts and do so with success. Hence why they are like this. I think there were a few hanging legs too that took a couple of our lads out off the ball, Rudden seemed to fall foul of this tactic. We just need to be a little more streetwise to them. Reply

Would have been interesting to see a freeze frame from the side showing how close it was to the line. Commentators didn`t dwell on it but it was surely close and would have been interesting either way. Reply

The commentators got it right, Fraser attempted to play the ball not realising Mulligan was in the line of fire. A yellow maybe, but no red. Bowie was onside. Wondered how he would adapt coming from Ghana but he is the most naturally gifted defender we’ve had since the Calderwood era and is absolutely strolling it. Hope we can keep a hold of him. JCM and Ngwenya were excellent as well. Mehmet deserves to keep his place in the team now too. Reply

Surely it would not have mattered if he was in our half as it was Gilmour that knocked the ball back for him to run into……Cant be offside if it was a Pars player that “ passed” the ball. There have been one or two poor team performances but the win shows the potential if players focus for 90 minutes. The skill levels are the same. It`s just down to application, concentration, work rate and discipline. All of these things are doable. G Wardrope Reply
