We have the headless chicken Zak playing week in week out. Morrison, who’s way overrated by lots of people, and he’s on the bench every week despite him being one of the most intelligent players positionally we have available and fit! What I will say and you saw the same last night for Tod, it’s completely different when you come on a sub against tiring legs and the game is more stretched you get more opportunities and space. Espechailly agaisnt a Raith defence who had to play a centre back only a couple of hours in the door for most of the game. Author: Parsdaft21346327964 Date: Sat 29th Aug 2026. 10:06 Bertie next you’ll be saying that ox should have made 3 outstanding saves instead of the 2 Cooper is not had a proper start in the ‘first team’ since well before the end of the season even when we were resting players near the end of the season and he got starts with the kids playing I thought he was always the best player on the park especially in that game against Airdrie the thing that goes against him is that the formation is set in a way that if he starts he needs to be played as a winger and that’s not his game as you can see that when he comes on now he just floats about in the spaces that we create now and it’s working perfectly for him Reply |

Pushing the ball out wide isn`t enough sometimes. Width is great but you need good quality balls into the box. The 6 yard box is so crowded these days its difficult to score inside that area. These is more space and opportunity in the general box area and the edge of the box. Cooper is such a good striker of the ball that with a little bit of space he can produce something either a goal of a save from the keeper that the strikers can follow up on. G Wardrope Reply |

| 55. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Sat 29th Aug 2026. 13:33 He`s never been used as a wide forward, so presumably he`s no good there, possibly on the left cutting in like Andy Tod does. So that kinds of limits his chance given we have so many centre forwards. Not sure he could be used a right winger/forward but maybe deserves a chance there ahead of Morrison. And if Zak Rudden can play on the left... As others have eluded to above, not sure starting him and Andy Tod against Raith, or many of the other physical teams in this league will work too well - just not enough physicality. Reply |

He’s got a bit of dig about him but he’s got strengths and weaknesses that need to be accounted for when picking the best team to win a game. Morrison does better hugging the touch line while cooper is better just off/in behind the front line. Horses for courses though. COYP Reply |

| 60. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Sun 30th Aug 2026. 11:14 Josh Cooper is such a good striker of the ball and in his post match interview he says he practices those in training. One of our weaknesses is failing to get goals from set pieces and corners so we are going to be reliant on goals from shots in the wider box area and from the edge of the box. Its Josh Coopers strength and Andy Todds. Being more direct in games may yield results as going wide and turning back doesn`t achieve the intent of getting behind defenders and more often than not we lose the ball. There seems to me to be little benefit in expending that energy to get up the park to fail to produce an attempt on goal. G Wardrope Reply |
