I think it’s to easy to look at Morrison and think he’s not doing as much as others so I’d play Cooper instead of him but Morrison and Cooper to me are doing very different jobs. Morrison has played best hugging the touchline and giving us width. That’s not something I see cooper doing. I’m not against starting Cooper in front of Morrison I just think we’d be asking them to do different jobs and the question should be -who’d be more effective against that opposition rather than who’s playing better football. | 63. Author: Berkey Date: Sun 30th Aug 2026. 19:59 I agree NMC but at the moment cooper can quite easily do what Morrison is doing 9 times out of 10….ie take a touch then pass it back. The difference with cooper is he’s far more likely to stick away the chance Morrison missed on Friday and I’d wager he’d have more quality to his crosses. Maybe it was because it was away and less have seen it but Cooper came on for Morrison at Livi and we looked a lot less likely to score for it. Cooper isn’t as quick and he kept turning inside and offered nothing. Morrison stayed wide and kept them stretched, got balls in the box. I’m not having a go at Cooper, I’m simply saying it’s got to be horses for courses. COYP Post Edited (Sun 30 Aug 23:16) Reply |

I don`t think of Josh as a winger, I think of him as what we called in the old days an inside forward. Someone who keeps fairly close to the centre forward and can feed him or score. Have Kane and Josh been given a chance to gel as a partnership? Post Edited (Sun 30 Aug 23:36) Reply |

| 71. Author: Sacktheref69 Date: Mon 31st Aug 2026. 06:46 If Cooper starts, he needs to make an impact. Most of the time, we start him after a good performance and end up subbing him due to a lack of impact. I want someone to tell me why Morrison tried to score his chance with the outside of his boot? He was also far too passive anytime he got the ball. I like Cooper and wouldn’t mind seeing Bray replace Morrison, with Cooper through the middle, although I can’t see this happening. This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it. Reply |

Author: da_no_1 Date: Mon 31st Aug 2026. 13:11 Why can`t some people accept that Cooper and Morrison are members of a squad that get utilised in one way or another according to what the manager sees fit. He scored the winner and I`m really chuffed for him but that doesn`t or shouldn`t mean he`s a definite starter v Arbroath.
