Author: jake89 Date: Tue 10th Mar 2026. 17:35 So, based on the example cited, you`re against explaining to children that some people are LGBT and some people may have two mum`s/dads and that they don`t need to confirm to gender? What would the alternative be? Whispered conversations in the playground about how little Johnny has two dads and his sister is a weirdo because she wants to be a civil engineer? Reply |

I’ve used an example of something I didn’t agree with then gave you links to the resources showing it wasn’t made up or something I heard from someone else. I could even give you examples of criminal behaviour towards children from people within organisations like TIE and LGBT youth Scotland. I’m 100% certain you either know about it or could find out about it but you’ll still be here making up false pretences. Up to you like COYP Reply |

I can understand the concern with serious issues within the organisations creating the materials, but those people aren`t the ones delivering the support materials to kids, nor are they likely to be the ones writing them. I`m struggling to find what`s so problematic with letting kids know that some people have parents who are the same sex or that boys don`t have to be builders and girls cleaners. Reply |
