I`ve actually worked with LGBT Youth Scotland and they were really helpful and informative. Aware there have been scandals and that is inexcusable, but doesn`t relate to the guidance provided.

Now, can you provide details on which school(s) and what it is they`re teaching 4 year olds (allegedly)?

I’ve already provided you a reference

So, based on the example cited, you`re against explaining to children that some people are LGBT and some people may have two mum`s/dads and that they don`t need to confirm to gender?

What would the alternative be? Whispered conversations in the playground about how little Johnny has two dads and his sister is a weirdo because she wants to be a civil engineer?

Why are you so concerned about what children say in a playground you’ll make up wee stories that manage to tick all your made up boxes? I’ve used an example of something I didn’t agree with then gave you links to the resources showing it wasn’t made up or something I heard from someone else. I could even give you examples of criminal behaviour towards children from people within organisations like TIE and LGBT youth Scotland. I’m 100% certain you either know about it or could find out about it but you’ll still be here making up false pretences.

Why are you having such a reaction to this? I can understand the concern with serious issues within the organisations creating the materials, but those people aren`t the ones delivering the support materials to kids, nor are they likely to be the ones writing them.

I`m struggling to find what`s so problematic with letting kids know that some people have parents who are the same sex or that boys don`t have to be builders and girls cleaners.

I hope I`m wrong with this, but I genuinely believe something big will happen during the WC. A player from perhaps Iran, Haiti, Columbia etc will be detained by ICE and deported/held in a detention centre due to a visa mixup.
Previously, at any other tournament, any discrepancy over visas would be handled quietly between the organisers and diplomats present. Now tho, there`s the real possibility of watching Iran v Egypt, and the game being interrupted by ICE agents storming the penalty box and detaining the goalie live on tv.
Like I say, I hope I`m wrong, but even the fact that there`s the slightest of possibilities it could happen is frightening

Apparently this was "utter p!sh" when I wrote it. Now, 2 days before the kickoff of "the biggest tournament in the world" and we have fans and referees finding their visas withdrawn, the Iranian national team only being allowed day access to USA, and half the Iran backroom staff not allowed in at all. On top of that, Good Ol` Don has said that ICE will not only be outside the stadiums, but will have full access to detain any player or staff.

I had no plans to buy tickets but have friends who are heading out tomorrow. I really hope they 1. Get there safe 2. Return safely.

You really wonder how FIFA is vetting countries to host the world cup. It`s quite frankly ridiculous to let the US host again when football still isn`t a massive sport there.

Add in that Iran can no longer sell tickets to their own fans and a FIFA certified ref, who refereed the AFCON final, is now unable to enter the country due to his visa being revoked on the grounds of him being Somalian.

Who has USA winning the tournament on their betting slips? 🤔 cause the levels of corruption and dodgey ness around this world cup are stacking up fast!

The ref was held at Miami airport for 11 hours and then was returned home on a later flight. So he would have had accommodation and flight costs. Just a disgrace that fifa actually advertising this farce as being inclusive and welcome to all.

The refusal to allow Omar Artan into the USA after arriving at the airport is a total nonsense - if there were grounds for banning his entry it should have been assessed, actioned and advised to interested parties long before this late stage.

The USA and Iran are at war and surprisingly, that’s more serious than the World Cup.

I agree there should have been some back and forth and have it pre-arranged before the Somalian ref was sent home again. They seem to have been able to work something out for the Iranian side beforehand so surely they could have done something with ref. Funnily enough the Somalian corruption in Minnesota charges were being brought forward the same day. I wonder if the simpleminded have put 2 2 together and got 5.
