It`s strange that the main stream media have dropped the coverage of the Covid enquiry especially now that it is discussing supply routes for PPE.

Dido Harding is/was in the witness box just now revealing how good track and trace was!🤔😲

Safe and Effective shown to be a lie, not one vaccine tested for effectiveness, not one, thank f*** I largely live in a civilised country where you weren`t demonised for ignoring the madness.
The Enquiery went quiet at that part too.

Hopefully they have enough change down the back of the sofa not to end up on the breadline in a couple of weeks.

A court order to pay back 120Mn+ GBP for a Scottish Tory peer...yet of course it is the SNP that are apparently corrupt and incapable of astute fiscal management..and the same people who promote such a message usually have the mantra of "respect your elders"...Scottish Yoons are honestly a joke!

Isn’t it quite the coincidence that PPE Medpro went tits up this week ?

No chance of getting the money back.

I don`t think it`s a coincidence. Does the company still trade? It doesn`t have any employees, so probably not. In the circumstances, having been hit with a court order to stump up £122m there is probably little legal alternative to winding the company up. There is one director, an Arthur John Lancaster, but I`m not sure to what extent he can be pursued.

Nor do I know how Baroness Mone and Dougie Barrowman can be held financially liable. Perhaps there is an option under the Proceedings of Crime Act (2002) but presumably you`d have to prove criminality rather than incompetence, which would be a much higher bar.

I see that PPE Medpro has been placed into liquidation. (But not yet liquidated, despite what you may read).

I note also that the administrations wanted to keep it it administration (why?) but the Government (well, the DHSC) asked for it to be liquidated.

Is this because there is no chance of it paying its debts and its better to get a small amount of money owed than have it all eaten up in fees?

Mone and Barrowman have just bought a £10 million mansion in Florida, how does that work?

Any commoner would be subject to repossession!

I think it`s quite amusing, Cameron put her in the HoL in 2015 to kiss off the Scottish electorate and it`s backfired on him and the English government as she`s absolutely ripped them off.
You done well madam, but still a traitor to Scotland though.

Jeez..... yes, it is hilarious that she got placed in a position that made it much easier for her to influence taking a **** load lf cash off the state....our money.

MT, I`m no expert but I suspect one legal strategy would have been to extend that part of the process to ramp up costs and maximise the chance folk would just write it off. Perhaps this approach will accelerate any related legal proceedings on criminal charges.

I`m normally a fan of due process, but this is one case I wouldnt be mourning the outcome of a tragic air, sea or road accident.

As far as I remember it wasnt just the 10m house, there was over 60m allegedly put in trust for her and her family.

Mone will get off with this, if she gets done the "house of cards" will collapse, with many well known politicians being implicated!

It`s really like the Epstein case with the higher members of society being protected.

One rule for us and no rules for them!🤔😡🎅

Presumably the assets have been frozen as the National Crime Agency is investigating whether a crime has been committed and thus there remains a possibility of recouping some money. Of course, Baroness Mone remains legally innocent in the meantime.

I haven`t seen the court order - did it fail to specify the rental income from the property concerned? Because if it didn`t, I don`t see how it could be frozen.

A normal valuation of such a property would make allowance for such receipts though - perhaps someone at the NCA has goofed?

I don`t know what Dave Cameron was thinking of when he ennobled her. Perhaps he was thinking of the need to bring people from different backgrounds on board - all politicians dream of broadening their appeal, but he must have been told that she was high-risk. In which case he ignored the advice.

£15k a week is a pretty poor return on investment on a £25 million property. That’s barely 3% per year.
