| 222. Author: TommyR Date: Sat 28th Sep 2024. 20:11 For me he`s got to go. Few points, he gave 3 year deals (in the championship?) to Mehmet, Chalmers and Hosler on the back of the seaside league. I suspect he`s not all to blame as the board would have been hoping to sell at least hosler if he performed which he hasn`t He`s rigid with tactics and has been consistently outplayed with the exception of a few fluke games. The squad has absolutely no cohesion. It looks like they met yesterday at the pub. There`s absolutely some quality within this squad but the manager doesn`t know to make them perform. Today was the last straw for me. We`re already crap so being managerless can`t make it any worse. Reply |

If the players have that attitude we really are doomed. According to BBC Sport we eventually managed 14 shots; 3 were on target and 5 were blocked. Like everyone else I`d like to know why it took so long to happen. You really don’t know why?….Seriously ? I will give you a clue…….if it had been 0-0 or 0-1, it would not have happened…………………. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |

Hamilton forgot how to control and pass a football today. Wotherspoon only got on the ball twice. Personally I may have left Wotherspoon on but I’m not going to beat him up about it. Just a sh1tey day all round. I’m not 100% on McPake out but really need a win next week. If we loose that he’ll be done. Don’t think he’d keep the dressing room if we loose that. COYP Reply |

| 226. Author: wee eck Date: Sat 28th Sep 2024. 20:35 Desparado, if you`re saying McPake plays it tight deliberately in the hope we keep a clean sheet and then only commits players forward in the last 20 minutes or so, I don`t accept that. We have a habit of starting games poorly for some reason and it seems to puzzle the manager as much as the fans. That`s what worries me. If he doesn`t know why it happens then he ain`t going to know how to fix it! Post Edited (Sat 28 Sep 20:37) Reply |

| 228. Author: saltonsgonagetu Date: Sat 28th Sep 2024. 21:02 3 years of garbage football , is enough to get anyone sacked , poor recruitment, poor tactics , 2 defenders can`t stop the team losing goals at setpieces for 2 years ,his only hope is we don`t have the cash to sack them . ![]() Reply |
| 229. Author: doctordandruff Date: Sat 28th Sep 2024. 21:21 Is there any other defence in Scotland that is so hopeless at dealing with crosses, yet gets a free ride from the fans cause the keeper `doesn`t come for crosses`. Of all the corners and crosses today we pinged into the box, how many did the QP keeper come out for? 1? 0? Didn`t need to. I remember one of the Raith games last year, their defenders must`ve dealt with 20 crosses. Their keeper never left his line. Reply |
| 230. Author: jojo Date: Sat 28th Sep 2024. 21:27 The defence MUST know that Mehmet will not come for crosses so it’s up to them to deal with any balls into the box . The defensive coaching drills during the week should be based around defending set plays and crosses into the box and every defender should be aware exactly what their job is . Basic coaching and with two ex-central defenders at the helm running the drills you’d think this would be a strength !! Reply |

He even did that in the league one winning season ffs! How many dull, pedestrian first halves did we endure only for something to happen in the second half? We accepted it then because it was working but now it clearly isn`t. Reply |
| 234. Author: Berkey Date: Sun 29th Sep 2024. 07:57 Geezo we only came into the game as Queen’s Park started to care more about protecting the points than continuing to play football. It’s the same reason we tend to do okay near the end, we’re usually at least 1 goal down and the opposition are protecting the points knowing we don’t have what it takes to break them down. I means we’re close to the point where he’s only still here because we can’t afford to get rid. That’s not a recipe for him and the players to suddenly up thier game, it’s a recipe for players to trundle on until the can get a deal at the next club. | 236. Author: jake89 Date: Sun 29th Sep 2024. 09:29 He needs to go but the club can`t afford to sack him unless we`ve someone waiting in the wings to come in and accept pretty mediocre pay. There`s been something not right in the club for ages and that also needs sorted. All the goodwill seemed to go when McArthur left but even before that it felt like some of the board would struggle to run a bath let alone a football club. What really happened with Shields? We`re lessons learned from the laughable recruitment of two utter diddies as manager? Why was money only made available to McPake after it was obvious the squad was weak? It`s a shame there aren`t more pars fans with deep pockets willing to come in. Reply |
