Him, Meggle and Cook are all needing binned.

Indeed something is rotten cook supposedly business and marketing yet we are getting panned by other teams that way with no real change I can see (I’m small business owner and rovers and east fife far ahead at engaging local guys)

Meggle who has hidden from fans for last 2’years no experience in Scottish game and hasn’t brought any experience from Germany thought we would see coaching crossovers , training in Germany in preseason, young players doing student type exchanges for experience etc

However the manager doesn’t help and I will be on volume 2 for that bit……

I can’t be certain, but I think he was sat in the dugout for all or nearly all of the game ? That’s so strange
That team should have been beating Cove. It looks like the players are needing a new voice in the dressing room ?

The team that started today had more than enough about it to beat Cove Rangers. Whatever issues are hamstringing McPake he clearly isn`t getting enough out of what he has.

For that reason, for me, he has to go.

“We’re behaving like a small club who are punching in this league in our approach.”
Seen this in a previous post and I couldn’t have put it better myself.
Spot on and never thought I would see the day where I said that.

We cannot blame the board for the results against Forfar and now cove.

This is on mcpake, we are not losing to Championship clubs here, it’s part time outfits. Or are we saying this team will struggle in the league 2?

Mcpake a busted flush with this group now, they are clearly are not playing for him or can’t play the way he wants. Either way it’s his team.

Hard to take positives from today. Taylor Sutherland’s goal was superbly taken and he needs to be starting games.
MOH worked hard and was positive for the time he was on.
Comrie gave his all.

Other than that…

A blind man can see the manager isn`t getting the backing ,and probably the players , or some of them has either not been his call or all that was within his permitted range .
I`m sure manager picks who he wants and it`s the C
EO and board to get the contract across the line

What, are you expecting a personal invite? The various fan groups represent the interests of the wider fan base, that`s how it`s always worked. It was reported on both here and over at Bounce, Buffy often takes requests for questions.

We all know what happens with some players when the chips are down and getting beat every week….small knocks and they are ‘injured’ for months and the death spiral begins.

I keep reading “McPakes not getting the backing” and it’s true this season , however he did get the backing last season and his recruitment was poor! This shows in the final league position! We were rank rotten last season and his signings so far this season have done nothing to inspire! Even if we gave him a bit of budget I wouldn’t trust him to do great things with it!

However, I do reckon he’s hampered by having an almost non-existent scouting “team”.

I`m not a football manager (clearly) but reflect on my experiences managing a team in a "normal" job. I`ve regularly been told "no money" when I`ve asked for new software/tools and staff. In my experience two things generally happen:

1. You adapt and get on with it.
2. Things go south (deadlines not met, staff quit etc).

I think we`ve tried for 1 but ended up with 2. However, I`d say money has been made available but it`s been spent in a poor way. A seasoned pro is only worthwhile IF they can play AND they are good. I`d say we`ve definitely got a mixed bag.

As I`ve said before, that team on paper should not be struggling against part timers.

Spartans 9pts
Livingston 9pts
Forfar 6pts
Dunfermline 3pts
Cove Rangers 3pts

Go, the evidence is there.

The board are useless but they weren`t the ones giving long contracts to a striker who can`t score and a keeper who can`t save shots.

No but they did sign off on those long contracts though so are partly to blame
