My reading of JMs interview is that he is appealing to the fans to stand by the players. There is a danger here that you can talk yourself into a crisis. Crisis in any form is rarely caused by individuals. Rather, it`s down to a series of issues that come together to create an environment for them to manifest into a bigger problem. 80% of your problems have 20% solutions after all. The way I see it is;
Root cause - funding that leads to the issue of recruitment. Next - injuries, Next - low confidence. I don`t attribute any of that to the manager and players. These are caused by external factors and the environment within the club.

There are different perspectives on what you call success. For the fans, this is obviously playing well and being in the promotion mix. For people funding the club, it is financial security and a sustainable future that protects that investment and keeps the club afloat.

You can only perform to a standard based on the environment and system you work within. Poor performance on the park is a indication of systemic issues off the park that cannot be laid at the front door of JM. It far more nuanced than that.

Not your average Sunday League player.

My fear is Mcpake getting funding and him still being a weak link. I feel other managers 2 years into a squad would have better standards and squad cohesion. We do not look like a well drilled, well trained side.

I`m not saying he should be sacked but the lack of support in the transfer market shouldn`t mask the fact that he had enough resources available to beat Forfar and Cove Rangers at home and failed miserably on each occasion.
