Topic: Looking tough to qualify

Anyone figured out how many goals we would need to score today related to goal difference

Impossible without knowing the results of other games.

Another possibility I missed earlier is for Spartans to beat Falkirk. Creates another opening for us and knocks them out. Unlikely though.

St Mirren v Ayr play tomorrow which in the interests of fairness and integrity should not have been allowed.

As it stands, we are third best runners up along with Airdrie. They are 8-4 and we are 9-5

St Mirren will win tomorrow and Ayr are above us. We’ve not qualified.

So, we need Ayr to win or take a point? It`s shocking that this is being played on a different day.

If there is a draw and St M win the extra point, they go through

We need Ayr to win, or win the extra point after a draw.

Am I missing something or have the bbc got Alloa & Airdrie`s table wrong? They drew 3-3 but bbc has Airdrie on 9 points, and showing Alloa with maximum points?

It`s not set in stone that St Mirren win tomorrow. I`m hopeful that Ayr will sneak a draw.

All final round games should be played at the same time in my opinion.

Seems to be some confusion here BBC website says Airdrie 3 v Alloa 3, yet BBC Radio Scotland stating it was Airdrie 2 v Alloa 3.

It was Airdrie 3-3 Alloa according to the bbc!
Every table I`ve seen has Alloa on 12 points though so there must be something funny going on somewhere...

So Ayr could lose 6-0 and qualify ahead of us? 2-0 at home to a second div team when we are chasing goals is very very disappointingSquad needs bolstering and soon or it will be a long tough season with us at wrong end of the table.

It’s Livi, Morton and us, so far. If St.Mirren win, we don’t qualify.

Looks like 2-3 is the correct score & the updates have somehow counted Wilson`s goal twice! Not sure what that means Airdrie`s goal difference is really supposed to be now

Alloa won 3-2.

I forgot about penalties so I`m hopeful that either scrape a win in 90 minutes or Ayr sneak a draw, and win on penalties.

It’s worked out simpler than I thought it might.

We need Ayr to win tomorrow, either after 90mins or on pens.

We would secure the last slot, whilst we have same GD as Airdrie, we have scored one more goal.

That penalty going in was crucial.

Can only cheer on Ayr tomorrow now! Disappointed not to get more than 2 goals but the performance didn`t deserve anything better
