We were never likely to get anything at Tynecastle, not the end of the world losing there, especially when three of the goals were self inflicted. Still frustrating, but not exactly a shock. Fact is, we’ve won the rest and that’s what you’d have hoped for before a ball was kicked. Last season we couldn’t even beat lower league opposition at home, so there’s definitely progress. Win your home games, take care of the lower league sides, and you’ve given yourself a decent chance. That’s all you can ask at this stage. Hopefully although unlikely kane isn`t out for too long and we move onto the league. c'mon the pars Post Edited (Sat 26 Jul 18:31) Reply |

There were definitely another couple of goals for the taking in the last half hour v Dumbarton , and had we started at a higher tempo today , I`m sure we`d have scored earlier and probably gone on to win by 3 or 4 . Still a glimmer of hope , but we should`ve had it done today . Bobvo Reply |
64. Author: parsfan Date: Sat 26th Jul 2025. 18:46 Just for the sake of completeness, there is another route to the next round, if rather unlikely. We`d go above Ayr on goal difference and claim the final spot in the next round if St Mirren were to win by nine. Back to reality, Ayr have a seeded place in the draw at stake, so it`s not as if they`re going into it with nothing to play for. Don`t give up hope yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The universe is ruled by chance and indifference ![]() Reply |

68. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sat 26th Jul 2025. 19:29 All that we could ask for pre kick off was a chance - we have done that. Now just got to hope it goes our way. By the way, its a disgrace that theres a game being played later for TV - if anything it should’ve been today at 12:30 at worst. Now they COULD play it out so both go through. Not saying they will.
