Still carrying individuals who clearly weren,t good enough last season, KRH and Oakley Booth clearly don,t like the physical side of the game which is part and parcel of the Championship, address this and we will be a far better proposition .

Agree gordi, unless he’s cheap I can’t see why we kept boothe or what Lennon saw in him. Actively makes himself unavailable for a pass when we are under pressure.

With such a young squad the more experienced players need to step up and be counted in these types of games, he’s never going to do that.

Would I be out of order to observe that, as things stand, we are still in the top 4? After reading this thread, I need some therapeutic positivity to inject some hope for our footballing future.

With a striker yes I think so. It`s just a little early for Young in my view. He probably needs 6 months out on loan to a league 1 side to develop a little.

I`ve got to admit, I was surprised Lennon gave Oakley-Boothe a new deal, there were times last season I questioned his commitment- especially in the game at Starks Park when we were in possession and he seemed to be running from space TOWARDS Raith players so he couldn`t receive it. It strikes me as the sort of guy that goes into hiding when the going gets tough. Another harsh lesson last night, we need experience in. Guys that HATE to lose, too many shrinking violets in our team, and that`s been the case for years

Totally wrong set up last night. Honestly, it beggars belief we’ve actually signed a RWB and still persist with KRH. What’s the point he cannot defend? Amade has to play with Gilmour in the middle of the park, no excuses to continue with otoo or TOB. Young isn't the answer and I'm convinced he won't be come the end of the season either.

Munn was all over the place last night and his distribution was erratic. Since JCM came back he has turned into a total bombscare at the back.

We were completely outfought in the first half and in a Derby game that is completely unacceptable. You can`t fail to bring up age when we win, but hide behind it when we get beat. You don`t need talent to dig in and work hard and we failed in both in the first half.

Second half was slightly better, but the damage was already done after the horrorshow that was the first. That first 45 was a massive red flag that I hope we never see from a Lennon team again. It reminded me of a Tidser team.

Looking at the fixtures when they came out I thought it wasn’t that implausible that we would have 1 point after 3 games. Last night was rank but I’m not quite ready to lose my mind yet.

Some interesting comments about both Otoo and Oakley-Boothe. Both had a poor game agreed, however I don’t agree that they are both bad players.

I think the issue is when they both play in midfield together. They don’t seem to compliment each other, especially in games like this.

I wouldn’t write any of them off and they should still be in our squad.

Can`t believe how KRH is getting a free pass on the opening goal , Andrew Tod passes the ball out to him we are on the attack , Andrew Tod goes down the channel , KRH immediate action is pass backwards to a centre back and putting him under pressure, symptomatic of modern football players , constantly taking the supposed safe option of going backwards , wingback have stolen the wide position from wingers , if you will not plsy forward or take a player on , then get wingback in the bin .

If I did that to him on the street I`d get at least 6 months, and it would be my first offence....

Wonder if that entitled him to an extra snort of what ever drugs the boss had that night?

Whether he’s good enough or not KRH gets a really bum deal with managers past and present and fans who just don’t get it.
He’s definitely not a physical player that much is obvious but he wasn’t signed as one.
He’s the typical right winger awaiting a ball to hit past the defender and cross into the box which he was great at in league one.

I like that Neil Lennon has faith in his abilities as well but last night was not a game for him as they were intent on bullying us most of the night and they won the fight.

Red card all day long. We`re not losing that match if the officials do their job.

Mullen, never see what he adds. Sometimes he runs forwatd and beats a couple, almost out of control, and nothing at the end he runs very slowly, allowed easton to get throigh for first goal, bene regularly complained to him about lack of enthusiasm .
And Easton, glad we did not sign him, hes a cheat very mouthy and had a smirk on his face, after cheating.

He never does this, spends all his time trying to dribble inside, offers nothing as a wingback and if Lennon can`t see that then it beggars belief.

It`s a bit harsh to say Mullen adds nothing and lacks enthusiasm. In the LC against Hamilton he caused chaos in their defence when he broke forward, got to the goal line and cut the ball back, causing them to concede an own goal. Similarly, at home to Airdrie he won the ball upfield and provided the pass for Andrew Tod`s goal.

Yes, he needs more discipline and improved decision-making, but these are things the coaching staff can work on.

Going to disagree with you on this. I get what you’re saying about KRH being a more traditional winger, but that’s exactly the problem, we’re not playing League One anymore. In the Championship, especially at RWB, you’ve got to be able to handle yourself physically and defensively first, and that’s just not in his game. We don`t play with wingers and he get caught out far to often defensively at RWB. Got to say though it`s baffling we sign a RWB and we never play him over someone who isn`t comfortable at that position.

He might look good going forward when he’s got space but in this league your up against better defenders who can nullify this with basic positional sence. Nine times out of ten he’s up against stronger and quicker full backs who don’t give him the luxury he had in L1. His final ball has been way too inconsistent as well. He just struggles with the demands of RWB.

He’s being asked to play a role that doesn’t suit him, but if we’re being honest he’s a passenger at RWB in this division. Championship sides will target that weakness every single time and we saw that in the first half on Friday. This is a sink or swim season for him (and a few others) so far KRH is slowly sinking.

Adam you hit the nail on the head saying KRH was great in league 1. He looks like a league 1 player these days. Not everyone is cut out for the step up to playing bigger full time teams every week.

Would be interesting to see the analytics on Fridays game….and to be a fly on the wall when Lennon reviews it with them!
