If we can’t take a lesson from this game, especially about the “finer” points of the physical game. Then we should chuck it. They’ve given us a lesson. Ref has been poor too at times. The lack of a solid forward option is hurting us obviously, plus a few going missing when it matters. New season, same outcome. Reply |

Powderpuff boys up against strong men. Gilmour, Amade, Kearney and possibly Cáceres get maybe 6 or 7 out of 10 but the rest were terrible. Reply |

Jefferson looks to have much better movement and pace than anyone else we have. Amade must start, will we ever sign a decent striker this summer? Players looked like they didn’t believe tonight or if they did mullan killed it after 1 minute. We need some men and leaders to come in, again we’re too nice and we shrink when it get physical. | 118. Author: OzPar Date: Fri 22nd Aug 2025. 21:48 Experience counts, and that`s where we fell short tonight. Raith had it in spades—Easton, Stevenson, McMullan, Byrne, Vaughan. Not too many positives for us - so many poor first balls, slack passes, careless defensive moves. Our substitutions were necessary, but they came too late. At the very least, there should have been a midfield switch at half-time. Kearney, Amade and Careres all made a difference when they came on, but it was all a bit late. Gilmour and Amade are a better pairing in midfield than Otoo and Oakley-Booth. I thought Gilmour again was our best player, with Cooper a reasonable second, but outside of that, not a lot to cheer. With the age of the Raith team, I think the opposite for them. It`s a poor performance, Raith stopped us playing any football until they tired a bit. We did not create any real chances, never turned defenders, or really put them under any pressure. Caraceres did that when he came on, but we need someone with him. G Wardrope Reply |
