Where did the £500,00 figure come from ?

It`s well less and the club is not going there.

Probably a Falkirk fan on Pie and Bovril.

Going on what I’ve been told, Falkirk wanted him back earlier than January, around the time of his call up, but the deal didn’t include a recall option.

The figure Falkirk are apparently looking for is thought to be around £150k, although they would probably want more from us given that we are rivals.

they could recall him at any point but he could not play for them until January as his registration cant be changed outside of the transfer window.

Yep and I`m sure they asked us not to cup tie him either.

I wonder if John McGlynn really thinks Barney is ready for the Premiership now, or indeed in the future? Brian Graham has found it tough going so why wouldn`t he? If the asking price is £150k I would think our owners would be prepared to pay it, even with an add-on re future moves.

Ross McIvor is also injured. I don`t think they are blessed with depth in the forward positions.

Barney definitely suits our style of play, and Lennon thinks he is the best box striker in the league. Only time will tell.

Barney would score a fair few for the malformed inbreds if given game time.
He’s goes back with my best wishes and never thought I’d ever say that.

Great article about him on COWS as he reflects on his time at the Pars.

Big step up in levels though, particularly the system Falkirk play with one striker.

He would be behind Graham and McIvor (who always seems to be injured these days), if Falkirk bring someone else in you would imagine that would be his time up.

Barney has said that he is going back to Falkirk hopefully of premiership games. You can`t blame him for that. Personally I think he is still raw and could do with a full season in the championship. If an opportunity to play in the premiership is an option at this stage, you can`t blame him for having a go. I don`t see him coming back this season unless we table an offer for him.
