When a loan deal goes well and benefits the parent club. Hopefully act as an inspiration to our young players out on loan.

No matter how well he does back at Falkirk, he`ll always be the player that broke through at EEP and got his first international call up with us.

That`s certainly how he was discussed on the radio today. Falkirk fans will be delighted by his performances for them but also a little sick of hearing him constantly referred to as,

`Barney Stewart (who spent the first half of the season at Dunfermline) `

Chuffed for him. Really came across as a good guy.

Delighted for the lad. Went back full of confidence and a better player because he was given an opportunity. Hope he continues to fire the goals in and gets a well deserved move.

Agreed, other teams must look at their young prospects and think they would be worth getting half a season of experience out under Lennon

God knows how his 1st goal stood. An absolute mile off. Shocking officiating

Couldn’t give a toss he no longer plays for us so he’s back to being a Falkirk **** again

Got to say - he was offside for his first, and the boy who crossed was offside for the third - VAR on holiday?

But - he did the strikers job, putting the ball in the net, and no scum-badge patting.

He`ll be a Par again.

I read a rumour about McGlynn and Aberdeen. Barney would likely follow.

I like Barney Stewart as a person and he did great for us but he’s not our player and is firmly back in Falkirk scumbag category again. I wouldn’t boo him or anything but that’s because I’m a 42 year old man. Hope he goes on to better things.

Falkirk manager John McGlynn reckons Barney Stewart is the poorest paid player in the Scottish Premiership but has told the 21-year-old striker, who scored a hat-trick in Saturday`s win over Hibs, he is still not getting a rise unless he agrees a new contract.

His contract is until summer 2027. It won`t stop clubs trying to bid for him at the end of this season though. With his age and attributes he`ll be sought after if he keeps up the scoring.

On side off side it doesnt really matter. The goals were given and you have to be in the right position and anticipate the ball to tap them in.

Looked off at first glance, but I think it could he could have been in line with the defender’s elbow. The camera angle didn’t help.

I wonder why he hasn`t signed a new contract. It has obviously been offered going by his gaffers comment.

Maybe McGlynns told him to hold off signing a new contract so he can join him at Aberdeen.
