| 101. Author: jake89 Date: Mon 16th Jun 2025. 11:28 On the Ballymena situation it`s worth being clear that it`s fair to assume that someone who speaks Romanian as their first language is Romanian. They may also be Roma who happens to be from Romania. Regardless, it`s worth being clear that the man alleged to have been involved was released with no charge. The allegation is that two 14 year olds forced a 13 year old to give them oral sex. The race or ethnicity of those involved is irrelevant. If that did happen, those two boys should be punished (preferably by having their peckers chopped off IMO!). As has been mentioned, the response is extreme. We regularly see or hear of homes being targeted where there`s a known sex offender present. There was a situation in Dunfermline just a couple of weeks ago where a home had its windows panned in over three nights of protests. What we`re seeing in Ballymena is far more extreme and is using this current case as an excuse to release clear tension that already existed in the community. If this is against the Roma community, that makes barely 3% of the population of Ballymena but that`s not to say they can or can`t be involved in criminal acts. I`ve never been to Ballymena and don`t know anyone in Ballymena but do know based on local experience how easy it is for situations to be exaggerated and flames fanned by idiots on social media (see: Fife Jammers). If there`s a perception of immigrants (illegal or otherwise) being given houses over people in greater need, receiving benefits they shouldn`t be or a blind eye being turned to criminal acts, that all needs investigated. Panning in windows and starting fires displays local frustration and impatience, but it won`t get things sorted any quicker. Reply |

It is confusing terminology largely because Romania (the modern country) developed ties historically with the Romans over nearly 2 centuries during the second and third centuries after Dacia was conquered and occupied. It was accessed by police due to a utility issue. How that page continues to run is beyond me. The admin is a clear right wing nutcase. Also made a snide comment about the Bay being "posh". Sad sack. Parrot you say 23billion is unclaimed in welfare funds every year…is this from working people paying taxes? So let’s help British people(black,white etc)that were born in Britain instead of the millions we are paying housing illegal immigrants up in hotels etc…Do you really think it’s ok to house these men that we don’t have a clue where they are from as they get rid of their passports as soon as they are in Britain so they can’t be vetted? Where are the woman and children with them? I’m sure you can invite your families over unless you earn and contribute BUT they are all enjoying themselves in hotels with NHS staff on standby to care for their needs…..And you stand by this??
