Andrew283 what do you suggest to stop our country going into freefall with 2k illegal immigrants coming into Britain on a weekly basis?
They have no passports or history from their original countries…would you like these men on our streets wandering about?

Where do you get the 2k per week figure?

Are you suggesting it`s 2k per week for a 52 week period?

Nice one Dandy, though I`ll point out a couple of issues:

1. Never called you racist. I suggested you were a Yaxley-Lennon due to the claims you made of people being intimidated by immigrants walking on the street, something that is frankly laughable. I apologise if you felt I was suggesting you were racist, which is not something I believe of you.

2. You`ve fired out far more abuse at me than I have at you. I don`t take it personally and genuinely hope you`re doing well, but you need to be mindful of the forum rules around abuse.

3. As mentioned a number of times, my issue is with people exaggerating. This isn`t exclusive to you though so don`t take it that way. The reason I have an issue with it is it means that when truly awful things happen (and they DO happen!) it means that people can turn round and say it`s just another porky pie because of the mistruths told previously.

Genuinely wish you well and I`m not seeking to annoy you though I appreciate it clearly am!

That figure is incorrect. It`s not even 1k a week. More like 7-800 on average. Still a high figure but it`s not 2k.

“The claim that “2,000 illegal immigrants arrive in the UK every week” doesn’t stem from any official source—it’s an off‑hand calculation often used to dramatize Channel arrivals, but it’s misleading. Here’s a clearer breakdown:

🔍 Origins of the “2,000 a week” claim
• This figure loosely stems from dividing annual detected small‑boat crossings (e.g. ~100,000/year) by 52 weeks—an oversimplified assumption.
• But official Home Office / ONS data shows far lower numbers actually recorded.

📊 What the data actually says

Small‑boat (irregular) arrivals:
• In the 12 months to March 2025: 38,023 people arrived by small boat
• In the year ending December 2024: 43,630 irregular arrivals detected

That works out to:
• ~730 per week (38,000 / 52) or
• ~840 per week (43,600 / 52)

All irregular arrivals (including those by air, port, and undetected):
• Year ending June 2024: 38,784 detected
• Year ending December 2024: 43,630 detected

🧮 Summary: The real weekly rate

Timeframe
Annual detected irregular arrivals
Weekly average
Mar 2024–Mar 2025
38,023
~730
Jan 2024–Dec 2024
43,630

So, rather than 2,000 illegal migrants per week, the data indicates closer to 800–850 detected arrivals per week. This count only includes people who are caught/detected—not undetected arrivals or those who overstayed visas.”

Is that a ChatGPT answer P?

If it isn`t, it`s way to polite isn`t it. It almost gives some credibility.

I think "Did they Aye" might be a more appropriate response in present company 😀

AE makes stuff up all the time and just quotes the red tops so doubt he’ll have done any research into figures.

It is indeed chatGPT but it’s a quick way to get to information although I’m sure 2000 will continue to be thrown around.

Not quite correct and not sure why you think I wouldn’t research the figures given? AI does provide hallucination responses which is why you validate what it presented to you although helpfully chatGPT provides links to the sources used. So the sources for the information I provided are not red tops they are;

Fullfact.org - 5 references
Gov.uk - 1 references
There is a telegraph reference and Reddit but they each refer to the above 2 source so are requotes

I make info up Buffy? Don’t be so naive to what is going on.
As P said the data only indicates illegals caught on on their boats by the British authorities to gain access…trust me there is double that appearing on beaches across the country not detected and getting put up in hotel/bed and breakfasts.
It’s not like a 1 way boat trip for illegals for us to catch them…then you have to think the illegals that go and stay with their fellow members that have not been detected and what convictions they have?
Folk have had enough now and if this carries on there is going to be major problems…Bring all these religions/3rd world the way they live and then we have it..streets filled with everything.

If they`re here and not accounted for then that`s a big concern, as they could be dodgy, or could be getting taken advantage of. The positive for some might be that they won`t be costing the taxpayer money as they won`t be able to get a flat or benefits.

You’re the gullible one AE. Utterly gullible.
Carry on trolling. Some poor sod will lap it up I’m sure.

Incorrect - did you not read the bit that says air, port (which is small boats) and undetected for the full total per year? So nowhere near 2000 a week - pulled the relevant piece out for you;

“All irregular arrivals (including those by air, port, and undetected):
•Year ending June 2024: 38,784 detected
•Year ending December 2024: 43,630 detected ”

While those sentences end with the word detected it includes estimates for undetected when you validate in the supporting link at fullfact.org

Laugh now but apparently within a couple of months they`ll have taken over and that wee deli in Aberdour will be a halal supermarket. Mock if you will... 🙄

I`m more worried about the immigrants from england to be honest.

Whenever I am up in the Highlands and pop into a pub or whatever there is always some english immigrants bemoaning the fact that, "it`s not the england I once knew" and telling their tale of how they have been taken over down there.
