NMC - like you mentioned, it was already a big part of the conversation elsewhere on the internet. Not just on social media, but on TV news and print media too.
As a result I shared that I learned a word and gave my interpretation of it`s definition. That is all.
I`m not even sure what you think my "true" motive was?

Any right thinking person will be sickened by the killing.
What I struggle with though, is all the adulation.
He really was not a good person.
I could elaborate, but there is plenty online.
I would have more sympathy ( he didn`t believe in empathy, a core component of true Christianity) for his family if they had any compassion for the tens of thousands of families being ripped apart by the Gestapo (ICE) they promote.

I picked up on a radio interview this morning - BBC Radio Scotland "The Sunday Show" which is relevant to above comments.

Advance to 1:10:18 for Prof.Christopher Carman - I`d never heard the phrase "Affective Polarisation" before - very apt in respect of the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Aw c’mon! I never even questioned your motives 😂😂
Why put yourself on the defensive? 🤷🏻♂️😂

It’s easy to find his negative points. This showed up on my timeline so thought I’d share it here.

He`s not wrong, but he`s also not quite right. Based on DNA, a scientist could probably make a good guess. If you`re black, for example, you`re much more at risk of prostate cancer, heart disease, hyper tension and quite a few other ailments.
What I think Kirk was getting at is that we`re all humans regardless of race and the stereotypes, myths and microaggressions all come from society. What I`ve always found fascinating about Americans is how they separate themselves into these groups where they say Black American, Hispanic American, Italian American, Irish American etc then live almost stereotypes of themselves.
We all know the crime stats are bad when it comes to black people in the US but isn`t that down to people assuming they`re bad people and higher rates of deprivation among black communities? It`s similar in Scotland when you look at Glasgow. That city is a **** hole and has a reputation for being rough. Does that make Weegies bad people? No. Does it mean they`re stupid? No. Does it mean they`re all jakey bastards? No. However, there is that belief that Glasgow is that way, and it seems like many Glaswegians end up living to that stereotype.

We can agree that F*lkirk is full of inbreds though surely?

I think you’re missing the point Jake. He’s been accused of racism a lot recently (honestly think it’s just folk trying to justify a murder) but that doesn’t sound like a racist talking to me.

His problem was he thought he was clever but wasn`t clever enough to say the right things. He allowed little nuggets of what he said to be taken out of context. For example, the quote about the black pilot and checking qualifications related to a rant about affirmative action. So what he meant was he hoped the pilot was there on merit and not because there was a quota to fill. Like the rest of the USA, he had to bring race into it.

Well spotted. I didn`t get that at all. I put it with all the other negative things he said about blacks and assumed more of the same.

He allowed other people to take his words out of context?
🤔

Yes. As I said, if he`d omitted the word "black" it would`ve made it harder. If I recall correctly, our ex-FM got caught out in his stupid "white" speech too.

I genuinely can’t believe you’re on here advocating for public assassinations for people who have their words taken out of context.

😂 Except that`s a **** example though. A better example would be if I`d mentioned his murder within the comments about his views on affirmative action so you could selectively pick out a sentence that would fit a particular narrative.
On a more serious note - very few people are suggesting Kirk deserved to be murdered. Those who are need to take a look at themselves.

It doesn’t matter if it’s bad, good or indifferent. You let your words be taken out of context. That’s 100% on you.

Don`t think I did in relation to the example I was giving but whatever works for you. I`m also not someone the media has any interest in whatsoever...or am I? Maybe you`ll see me on GB News tomorrow debating how many people actually turned up to Yaxley-Lennon`s parade at the Arc de Triomphe at the weekend.

Jake, I’m calling your argument that he deserved to be shot because someone else took his words out of context stupid.
