As a result I shared that I learned a word and gave my interpretation of it`s definition. That is all.

He`s not wrong, but he`s also not quite right. Based on DNA, a scientist could probably make a good guess. If you`re black, for example, you`re much more at risk of prostate cancer, heart disease, hyper tension and quite a few other ailments.

What I think Kirk was getting at is that we`re all humans regardless of race and the stereotypes, myths and microaggressions all come from society. What I`ve always found fascinating about Americans is how they separate themselves into these groups where they say Black American, Hispanic American, Italian American, Irish American etc then live almost stereotypes of themselves.

We all know the crime stats are bad when it comes to black people in the US but isn`t that down to people assuming they`re bad people and higher rates of deprivation among black communities? It`s similar in Scotland when you look at Glasgow. That city is a **** hole and has a reputation for being rough. Does that make Weegies bad people? No. Does it mean they`re stupid? No. Does it mean they`re all jakey bastards? No. However, there is that belief that Glasgow is that way, and it seems like many Glaswegians end up living to that stereotype.

For example, the quote about the black pilot and checking qualifications related to a rant about affirmative action. So what he meant was he hoped the pilot was there on merit and not because there was a quota to fill. Like the rest of the USA, he had to bring race into it.

Well spotted. I didn`t get that at all. I put it with all the other negative things he said about blacks and assumed more of the same.

Yes. As I said, if he`d omitted the word "black" it would`ve made it harder. If I recall correctly, our ex-FM got caught out in his stupid "white" speech too.

Don`t think I did in relation to the example I was giving but whatever works for you. I`m also not someone the media has any interest in whatsoever...or am I? Maybe you`ll see me on GB News tomorrow debating how many people actually turned up to Yaxley-Lennon`s parade at the Arc de Triomphe at the weekend.
