1. Author: Alter Ego Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 20:37 Iv never slated the guy before today but ffs what was going on with him? Left Chalmers open so many times in the first 30mins by not tracking back and looked lost. Needless fouls to give away for the 1st goal and his positioning/marking for the 2nd was brutal. 2 times he could have passed the ball to create better goal scoring chances and has a rugby shot over the bar… And still played the full game. He was brutal today! Chris Hamilton was the same and couldn’t pass a ball 10 yards..his positional play is questionable at times as he’s caught well out and seems to stand there… Now these 2 either think they are 1st choices every game but both need a kick up the erse by Tidser…Both awful today and their attitude needs to change. 2. Author: Bannockburn Par Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 20:46 We won’t move forward until Hamilton, McCann, Chalmers, Hosler etc are gone. Just not good enough. Massive summer clear out if we are to move forward as a club. Reply |

4. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 20:49 Let`s tell them all now that they're not good enough. That should motivate them for the rest of the season. Let's hope Tidser is a better motivator than some on here apparently are. Post Edited (Sun 09 Feb 20:52) Reply |
5. Author: 1985Par Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 20:52 Neither had their best game today but to suggest their attitude needs to change is way off the mark as both give everything for the team, consistently. McCann is hit or miss at championship level and his weaknesses were exposed against the team 4th in the top tier. I’m not going to judge anyone on today’s game. Massive jump from championship to premier and it showed today with some players more than others. Reply |
6. Author: Alter Ego Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 20:57 And both were great against Livingston?? Again here we go with wee eck trying to be the health and safety boy everyone dislikes on a site😅 Every player should have run themselves into the ground today… Post Edited (Sun 09 Feb 20:58) Reply |
7. Author: Murchadh Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 21:01 If you have a football brain and watched McCann today you would realise his decision making was terrible, he cost us two of the goals with his poor decision making. As for Hamilton, he`s just not up to the standard that we require moving forward. Reply |
8. Author: Swifty Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 21:06 On reflection I think we started with the wrong team today. At 2 nil down (after losing 2 avoidable goals), we brought on our only natural LB and played much better. Their keeper made a few good saves and had we been awarded a penalty and scored when we were pressing the game, it would have been an interesting end to the game. Our players signed in the January window look like they have something to offer? As we know there are no easy games in the Championship, but here’s hoping we have enough quality to secure 8th place. Onwards and upwards. COYP Reply |
9. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 21:10 Both players are League One level. Hopefully they do enough to keep us up, but once the seasons done it wouldn’t be a shame to see them go. Just not good enough. McCanns been around the first team for years now and still no improvement. Reply |
10. Author: wee eck Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 21:47 Can someone tell me what exactly a `health and safety boy` is? I presume it`s an insult. Reply |
11. Author: Alter Ego Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 22:05 An insult? ….oh here we go get the site police blah blah.. It was a joke but of course you can’t do this nowadays as ohhh Iv been insulted and ohhh blah blah..get a grip! Mon the Pars! Reply |

13. Author: RossF Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 22:16 Both were terrible today but let’s not forget that Hamilton played a key role in Arbroath’s title challenge. He is going through a bad patch just now but didn’t turn into a poor player overnight. He was always one of our better players last season. I would agree that they maybe need dropped but both aren’t terrible players - they’re just going through a rough patch. Hopefully Tidser can see that. Reply |

15. Author: Berkey Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 22:19 Todd was murder at the airdrie game and hasn’t been seen since, I suspect the same might happen to McCann if there is anyone else who can play in that position, maybe yeboah? Tidser no stupid and knows these guys are very limited. I tend not to be critical of Hamilton as his main job is to get stuck in and break up the play and then give it to a more creative player but yes if we survive and want to push up the league we will need better. We can still do loans so I suspect we’ll be in the market for another central midfielder and possibly a left winger. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! 17. Author: sonofpetrie Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 22:27 Very unfair to lump them in together IMO. Hammy has been off the boil to be fair but his commitment is unquestionable. Cast your mind back to last year when he was playing any and all positions during the injury crisis. Suffered a broken cheekbone and various concussions. He bleeds black and white. Will he be part of future plans? Probably not, which I am sure he will be devastated about. Buy his versatility and commitment have helped us weather a few storms. McCann on the other hand is and will continue to be absolute mince. Can`t jump, can`t use his strength, can`t cross a ball (not a winger), can`t finish, can`t beat a man unless that daft wee thing he does where he tries to force it through the defender comes off. Slower than a week in jail. He looks knackered after 15mins in every game but by far the biggest issue I have is that he plays the game staring directly at his own feet. Zero vision. Tbh I am fed up paying week after week to watch him get 90 mins. There was nothing we could do about it when the squad was threadbare but we seem to be moving away from that now. Yeboah is clearly the superior option. "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary" Reply |
18. Author: Socks Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 22:32 Both had poor games today, but it must be hard when a manager tries to force you do do things you don`t want to do, and play in a way that doesn`t use the strengths you do have. Reply |
19. Author: wulliepar57 Date: Sun 9th Feb 2025. 23:39 It`s easy socks LOL ! once players cross that white line they can do as they please , but I do agree that we need to play to our strenghts and play folk in the right positions , and stop this crap playing out from the back because we can see already it`s not working , I understand the theory behind it but it`s not much good if you cannot get out your own half ! we need to get on the front foot and attack teams as we seem to be a betetr team when we do this ! one other aspect of this is if we are in the opposition half with the ball the other team cannot score because they are back defending , certainly hoping we revert back to being an attacking team and get some results under our belt Cmon Ye Pars Reply |
