McCann had a wee purple patch under Lanzarote John when we played to his strengths - more often than not he was up beside Kane, we were quicker at moving the ball, we were a but more physical, etc. He`s not going to fit the system we`ve been trying to play all season but he isn`t the only one. Let`s get back to playing to the strengths of the players we have, get safe then start making changes if need be.

Hamilton must be on the cusp of being suspended with his disciplinary record.

Chalmers isn’t a left back and you heard a collective sigh when the team was announced. But he wasn’t helped at all by McCann who constantly failed to track back and left Chalmers isolated with 2 on 1.
Hammy is decent at breaking up play however lacks ability when he is on the ball and ends up just giving the ball back to the opposition half the time.

No lack of effort yesterday but again showed the level of several of our players.

You have to be joking? Chalmers is an horrendous left back and should be nowhere near there. Had a stinker against Stenny and Airdrie in the position but yeah weee away to Aberdeen let’s give him another go. Had disaster written all over it and as soon as Aberdeen seen that line up they knew exactly where to attack time and time again.

As for Hammy I hear a lot of fans say he loves the club and tries every game, I love the club and would try every game and I bet you I have a better end product than him. He can’t pass 5 yards and is a walking yellow card every week.

Hamilton’s out of form which he can refind.

McCann has all the attributes but as much as it pains me, just don’t see him cutting it at Champ level

Very annoying that Lewis McCann had a bad day at the office yesterday. Because if had had a good day at the office, Pars might have taken the Dons to the wire.

I`m a bit fed up watching the players we have trying to get by in the Championship. They`re not terrible football players but it`s time the likes of Chalmers/McCann etc moved on. They`ve all done us a turn at times but they`ve been around for 3, 4 & 5 years now and are a big part of why we`re farting around at the bottom of the league.

We need better.

Spot on da_no_1 these players were with us last time me got relegated from the Championship and look where we are now. Floating around relegation spot again.

The whole squad needs a freshen up.

Haven`t we just had a `freshen up`? We signed 7 players during the transfer window and 6 are available for the rest of the season.

I liken lower league players to the characters out of the Wizard of Oz. They are all lacking something. Unfortunately there are a few players in this squad what are lacking more than just one thing. That is clearly evident in one of the players highlighted in this thread.

I must admit I like Ephraim Yeboah. He seems to have something about him. With some improvement on decision making etc he could be really useful although I thought the same about Mebude.

Absolutely agree da no1.

If a player cannot consistently cut it at the level required then at some point it’s time to accept they will never be able to cut it. Shouldn’t take 5-6 years to suss that out though as that’s part of our problem we face now.

We just can’t continue on carrying passengers week after week.

In addition to Yeboah, everyone seems to think Chilokoa-Mullen is an upgrade on what we have and Archie Stevens is the type of wide player we have been lacking. The others, including Connor Young, still have time to make an impression.

We really need hampson and Taylor-Clarke to be decent and hit the ground running.

Can’t play a slower passing game with no midfield.

Not all "passing games" are slower.

What on earth does that mean?
He made a perfectly correct statement.

I recon the new regime are confident we will survive, and they are developing a squad that can and will play the way Tidser wants.
More will be added in the summer who fit the style.

Copper had a thigh strain but is back training,
Todd has a hamstring injury, out for a couple weeks.
The other 2 aren`t fancied. I personally wouldn`t be surprised if both left/ went on loan.

The flame still burns
