2. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Thu 8th May 2025. 16:13 I would have thought at NL is still engaged by the club he would have some input.hopefully he will stay on and be able to bring players in who can form a team to go for the championship title, but also be able to build on that and compete at premiership level. I have no doubt that would be NL`s objective and hence influence his decision to stay on as manager. G Wardrope Reply |

7. Author: GJS93 Date: Thu 8th May 2025. 21:10 Daily Record: 18:41Scott Burns Dunfermline confident of keeping Lennon as boss Dunfermline Athletic are confident of keeping Neil Lennon at East End Park. The former Celtic boss was brought in by the Fifers in March to keep them in the Championship. Lennon not only did that but also led the Pars to seventh in the league. His short-term contract was until the end of the season but now owner James Bord wants to make it a permanent arrangement. Bord and his board are also willing to back Lennon financially on and off the park to put together a squad that can get Dunfermline back to the Premiership. Lennon is ready to hold talks with Bord to learn of his plans. He was backed to bring in his former Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama and the club are in talks to try and extend that agreement. Dunfermline remain in talks with Chris Hamilton, Josh Cooper, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Jeremian Chilokoa Mullen. Bord and his backers bought Dunfermline earlier this year and are determined to turn them into a major force in Scottish football again They believe the former Hibs and Bolton boss can help them achieve that. 14. Author: Parsweep Date: Fri 9th May 2025. 14:48 Would i be right in assuming that NL will have played no part in deciding which players will be leaving . Would seem implausible, considering he`s not decided about his own future yet . Bobvo Reply |

16. Author: wee eck Date: Fri 9th May 2025. 15:00 Surely deciding on players` contracts is a football matter which requires input from the manager unless you just decide to let go everyone who is out of contract. The fact that we are `in dialogue` with some suggests he has been involved, otherwise who would have made these decisions? Reply |
17. Author: Bucuresti Par Date: Fri 9th May 2025. 15:18 Lennon must have had a big day in the decisions regarding the out of contract players, especially given all the noises about him staying on. I`d have hoped John McLaughlin also had some input, given Lennon isn`t confirmed as manager and will have had a whole season view of the players. Maybe there was some data analysis behind it as well :) Reply |

He`ll want his say on who comes in and won`t want to leave it all to a talking dishwasher." Lennon has literally said that he is here because of the owner, that he likes the way he thinks about football and thinks he can learn something. Analytics have played a huge part in the success of Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool in recent years. What makes you think Lennon is such a dinosaur that he wouldn`t want to use the resources available - especially given his comments about his discussions with Bord? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equal rights and justice in this time Reply |
