"I think the data analytics is the only stumbling block regarding Lennon signing on long term. He`ll want his say on who comes in and won`t want to leave it all to a talking dishwasher."

Lennon has literally said that he is here because of the owner, that he likes the way he thinks about football and thinks he can learn something.

Analytics have played a huge part in the success of Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool in recent years. What makes you think Lennon is such a dinosaur that he wouldn`t want to use the resources available - especially given his comments about his discussions with Bord?

There was a cracking interview on the High Performance pod with that fella who did the data stuff for Liverpool’s transfers. Well worth a listen if you’ve not heard it already.

Would i be right in assuming that NL will have played no part in deciding which players will be leaving .
Would seem implausible, considering he`s not decided about his own future yet .

I think Lennon will certainly have had a say as I`m convinced a contract has been agreed with him. When will it be officially announced? My guess is when the STs go on sale.... 🙂

Would`ve thought terms would`ve been agreed prior to the end of the season.

Hopefully news next week as we have a big re-build to get on with.

It’s either all been agreed and signed and they are keeping it quiet to announce at a certain time.

Or perhaps there’s a sticking point. We’ll have offered Lennon big money for the short spell until the end of the season that we perhaps can’t commit to for a full season or 2? Maybe there’s a big promotion bonus but Lenny wants to see what his budget is?

Could be anything, maybe Lennon keen to continue with his media commitments and punditry and it causing issues? Of those who have left I’d imagine any manager would let them go to get their own players in.

I just hope if there’s a sticking point we have a plan b if anything drags on.

Contract of this nature will take time and imagine there has been a bit of back and forth. Expect it to all be sorted with the next 7 days.

There’s no real urgency. He will be in contract till the end of this month ( after all we might have been in the relation playoff place). While here, he would be deciding players futures as the current manager. David Cook has no knowledge to shape a squad or decide what players for playing formations.
I fully expect 2 or 3 currently in negotiation eg cooper , Hamilton to be announced as signed at the same time as Lenny is announced this month. End of the month Wanyamma alongside a biggish name signing tying in the early bird and season ticket options.

Surprised they`re so early. With all the money they`ve made from a 528% increase in pie sales they should be all set.

The Rovers board are claiming they had the 8th lowest budget in the league. Imagine how bad it would be without all the pie sales.

Are their pies (steak related, not the eyeballs, scrotum and offal crap) any good?

Edinburgh City were selling season tickets at League 2 prices last week, even before their League 1 play-off games against East Fife!

It needs to be cemented reasonably soon so we can start talking to potential signings ahead of the incoming window opening. End of next week at the latest,if not then we face a mad dash scramble to get a new manager in which will put us behind schedule regarding pre-season and signings.

Killie are not exactly awash with cash. What makes you think they can offer Lennon a bigger salary and budget than the Pars can?

If Lennon hasn`t already agreed a contract with us, he can stall in the hope the Killie job does come up and that he would be the club`s first choice, not knowing how big a budget and salary they can offer. Assuming he got the job, his target would be to try and squeeze into the top 6.

If he stays at the Pars, he`ll get a good salary and a decent budget and his task will be promotion to the Premiership and hero status among Pars fans. An absolute no brainer..... 😁

Back in November time hearts were dead and buried and were a mess, shipping goals, no confidence, players looking like they`d rather be anywhere else. Then Neil Critchley came in and nearly took them to the Scottish Cup final that was some turnaround in a short space of time.

Critchley walked into a disaster zone and somehow steadied the ship. The defence stopped leaking, the midfield started ticking, and he got some of the deadwood playing like they`d remembered they were professional football players. Not only did they claw their way out of the relegation zone, we started actually playing decent football.

missing out on the Scottish cup final and missing out on top 6 was the catalyst for him getting sacked. But to come that close after where they were was remarkable.

Hearts fans are crazy Neilson had them a hard team to beat they sacked him now chritchley has gone after a great turnaround.Would McInnes want to go to Hearts ? If I was him in a relatively secure job I would stay well clear. Is Hearts a massive step up at the moment? Probably not...

Ahem! "We," Cammy? Have you inadvertently let a Jambo out of the bag? 🤔 😁

I was actually speaking to a Jambo at the time of typing it asking what he thought of it. Hearts have the potential to be up there but it seems they aren`t really sure of the direction they want to go to get there. Especially when you see what`s happening in Leith.
