Iranian pals from Sweden seem to be very hopeful that this is a new dawn, so hopefully it works out for them. According to them it`s mostly the ultra-religious that support the regime and they amount to about 15% of the population.

On your point though Dave, I do wonder about the reaction of the Kurds, Azeris and the Lurs. Azeris and Lurs are generally fairly integrated and not separatist minded from what I understand but the Kurds have a long record of desiring their own home state, which they really should have tbh...not sure if this could precipitate a joint effort with Iraqi Kurdistan but you never know...

At this point we just need to wait and see, but hopefully the Iranian people can get their country back from the theocratic nut jobs, but you can bet they`re far more "religious" in public than they are in private!

On a side note, another major blow to Putin as it`s another ally gone and a big blow to their Shahid drone supply!

Reports now say it’s unlikely that Iran will play in the World Cup in the summer.

How can that be when Trump is the beacon of peace?

While we’re on football, maybe after all this Iranian women will be allowed to attend a men’s football match???

A man of peace and his pal Ben bombing kids again and some folk are chuffed.

Stay classy, humanity.

Is Trump hoping to get the Nobel Peace Prize for his part in this?

No, hoping to deflect from his hearing at the Epstein enquiry this week!

Ex-president Mahmoud Ahmedinejad also confirmed to have been killed.

3 US Armed Service personnel also confirmed killed.

Seems that the US strikes are focusing on taking out key figures in the regime while the Israeli ones are focused on degrading the military production and capabilities.

Iran will do some damage to the US assets and Israel but really not clear what the endgame is yet tbh...

Edit: Have to agree LA, I do wonder how much of this is a distraction and I do also think that Trump has that dream of leaving a legacy and that's what he's doing with Iran and Venezuela (and I guess, indirectly, Cuba)

You think peace in our time is Iran playing in the World Cup?

The Americans are set on eliminating the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world, the Iran regime have killed 10 of thousands of their own people and they now have to go and win their freedom.

I doubt the people of Iran are really bothered about a football tournament.

This is going to cost Trump and America dearly.

The 27 nations of the European Union and a bloc of 12 Indo-Pacific countries have begun negotiations to form a huge economic alliance.

The talks are being led by Canada, whose PM Mark Carney seeks an alliance of "middle powers" to undermine Trump`s tariffs and make them immune to his coercion.

He arrives in Canberra today for talks with the Australian PM. He is also scheduled to visit India and Japan.

The US is now, thanks to Trump, a completely unreliable trade and security partner. America is fast running out of friends.

Do yourselves a favour and get away from the mainstream media. Give this a listen.

We all know George Galloway has a mixed history, but he doesn`t beat about the bush. And like it or not, he often speaks the truth where others distort it. Do you remember his appearance in the US Senate a few years ago? One of the greatest public speeches ever televised.

Here`s his latest show. Give it a listen, and you probably will learn something new...

Yup, that Colbert clip was 5 years ago. Memories, eh?

:)

Keith Olbermann? I enjoyed him when he was having a go at Trump. He was pretty entertaining. But he completely lost me when he went off on his pro-zionist trip.

Think of all the refugees this will create. Farage will presumably welcome this given his demands that the UK get involved? Maybe house them all in Clacton.

Not a chance that will be true. Irans fairly hit back hard though, which I think may have surprised the US……who are losing fighter jets through friendly fire again…..

You`d think, with all of the millions and billions of dollars of equipment, they`d put some sort of "dinnae shoot me, I`m on your team" beacon into their equipment

So Pearl Harbour will henceforth be referred to as a "preventative" strike?

That’s exactly what it was, however the American carriers were out on exercises and were unscathed - came back to haunt the Japanese 6 months later.

Let’s not get bogged down with events of 80 years ago.
