Semafor`s latest report says Israel`s "impenetrable" defensive shield is now on the brink of collapse. Israel is nearly defenceless as its interceptor stockpile is depleted. According to the report, Israel`s most expensive missiles (Interceptors), designed to intercept Iranian missiles in the sky, have now dwindled to a dangerously low level. Iran has fired hundreds of missiles simultaneously, exhausting Israel`s billion-dollar systems like Iron Dome and David`s Sling, and emptying their warehouses. Now, Iranian missiles will strike directly into Israel`s heart, and there will be no one to stop them. Experts say this is Israel`s biggest defence crisis in history. The question is, to what extent will Iran exploit this "weakness". Reply |

To leave now without regime change would be a major loss of face for Trump, which he simply wouldn`t tolerate for ego purposes, much like with Putin in Ukraine. The other point is that the regime doesn`t have the support of the Iranian people - the Security chief was just killed and people were heard cheering - maybe 15% support at the most and removing it would be favourable politically and economically for the US. There will, however, be a military and monetary cost to doing that. A lot of mootings though that Trump made the decision to start the operation on the hoof and so proper planning has been lacking thus far. The tantrum from Trump about not being supported by NATO Nations though is hilarious, considering how he has behaved over Ukraine. Also amazing how many, like Oz, are supporting an Islamist regime in this conflict. Reply |

I`ve actually been to Iran and experienced the richness of Persian culture and the incredible hospitality of the people firsthand. Granted, it was quite a long time ago, but inevitably, it has shaped my perspective. I think we need to be critical about what we are fed regarding Iran. The recent protests were complex, and there are legitimate questions about outside interference, specifically, CIA and Mossad—parallels to colour revolutions elsewhere aren`t entirely off-base. "Ukraine 2014, anyone?" That doesn`t mean the grievances weren`t real, but the narrative gets oversimplified. On the casualties: from what I`ve seen, the death toll was likely in the low thousands, not tens of thousands as widely reported. Many of those killed were reportedly armed and engaged in violence. Still tragic, but context matters. Iran is a huge country with a broad mix of citizens. Maybe 15% solidly support the mullahs, another 15% might back the exiled Pahlavi "prince". The 70% in the middle? They`re the ones who will decide Iran`s future—and most seem to want real democracy and independence, like the pre-1953 government before the CIA-backed coup. As for military calculations: Iran`s been preparing for this for 20 years, focusing on missiles, drones, and fast-attack craft designed to protect the Strait of Hormuz. That`s asymmetric 21st-century warfare. Meanwhile, the US is relying on tech from the last century. Israel`s covert game is being countered too—look at how many of their senior officials have been accurately targeted. And now that the Strait is closed? Trump isn`t just facing Iran—he`s facing a global economy in chaos. That changes the equation entirely. As I see it, the Iranians are playing a blinder! Reply |

The CCP destroyed Chinese Culture, The Islamic Revolution in Iran destroyed Persian Culture and Putin has destroyed Russia`s culture and future. Yet, you seem to be vehemently in favour of these regimes to the point where you`re indulging in conspiracy theories and accusing everyone else of "having their brains cooked" by the Western Media, despite the fact that much of what you say is demonstrably false - posting AI images of Tel Aviv, claims about Ukraine losing to Russia and your statements on Mainland China to name but a few! And then when you're challenged on your sources, you conveniently side step addressing the points raised...go figure! 😂 I say that as somebody who agrees that Trump and Netanyahu are senile auld gits who belong in jail cells. Why not just be honest and admit that you support authoritarian governance? As I`ve said before, it would really not surprise me if you have been compromised at some point and I really wouldn`t be surprised if you are being monitored by the Aussie security services for some of the nonsense that you post. I mean, you've spoken often of your trip to the Soviet Union as a youngster, however I can imagine you'd be vehemently opposed to the Israeli "birthright" program and claim something along the lines.of it being "a Zionist plot to control the political narrative in the US" (Which I don't doubt is a factor), however, might you not be the victim of something similar? I don`t know enough about this to comment, but I know for certain that there is something deeply wrong with you, as you have no off switch, zero understanding of nuance, and to you, everything is black and white. Time and again, I have sought to diffuse your animosity, only to find it come back in my face with double the intensity. I wouldn`t mind too much if you had something intelligent to say, but time after time, the same old arguments are repeated and repeated and repeated. I find you are a nauseatingly boring person. You say I support authoritarian governance! Truly, you are as mad as a cut snake. I live in Australia, possibly the finest country in the world. I have no desire to bow to anyone. That is totally against the Aussie ethos—you would struggle to find a less authoritarian nation on the planet. If I am being monitored by the Aussie security services for my opinions, then the best part of half the population here will be in the same spot. The views I express on dotnet are quite prevalent here. You say I don`t cite sources—that`s a blatant lie! And wildly, you suggest I was indoctrinated into communism when I was a schoolboy. For heaven`s sake, I went on a two-week school cruise to Scandinavia and the Soviet Union in 1970 when I was 15 years old. I was way more interested in girls than Lenin or Marx back then.
