Pretty sure in that instance, although we wouldnt be paying rent, the landlord is still entitled to chase the tenant for any costs relating to the condition of the property, should the lease state so. This seems to be the bigger issue rather than the actual payment of rent. Reply |

I'd imagine the council would be accommodating if they were getting their cash as well? What I don't understand is why there's an issue? He wants the lease, we don't...the council are told they'll get their cash (ahem!)...am i missing something?? Is it that we want the lease ripped up and a new one granted but GM doesn't as he wants to build down there? Reply |
