Author: The One Who Knocks Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 08:14 Yesterday a far right bunch of yobs and thugs, seemingly part of a group called Patriot Platform, dressed all in black blocked all roads and thoroughfares leading to the port of Dover. They believe in the justness and righteousness of their cause so much that they needed to cover their faces in balaclavas as they intimidated and menaced locals and motorists going about their business. Police made no arrests. Compare that to the scores of arrests made (and quite rightly so in my opinion) when the likes of Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion were causing disruption and blocking roads. Difference being those folks had the guts to allow their identities to stand alongside their beliefs. The cretins in Dover yesterday had no such conviction. | 4. Author: jake89 Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 11:08 This is why face coverings should be banned. Yeah, I know "what about...". Just ban them. Reply |

| 6. Author: Dandy Warhol Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 12:05 Only there was no thuggery at all, videos of locals dropping off water, juice, snacks. Kittens compared to what Antifa get up to. Sure it`s all performative garbage but calling them thugs? Literally nothing happened. Gotta keep signalling that virtue though huh? I don`t wanna go down like disco. Reply |
| 7. Author: The One Who Knocks Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 12:11 I also called them cretins as well and stand by both descriptions. And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |
| 8. Author: Dandy Warhol Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 12:14 The One Who Knocks, Sun 6 Sept 12:11 By all means post the footage of the thuggery. Meanwhile an Iraqi has been charged with the rape of a young boy. Imagine it was your kid. The difference between a far right muppet wearing a mask and an Antifa muppet wearing a mask? I don`t wanna go down like disco. Post Edited (Sun 06 Sep 12:24) Reply |

In that vein, thuggery can be emotional as well as physical. So here`s a quote from local residents from the BBC that they are extremely intimidated. | 10. Author: The One Who Knocks Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 12:34 Away you go with that pi$h. I`ll take you word for it as I`m not googling for such vile and despicable crimes which no decent person would do anything other than utterly condemn. In this thread though your going to bat for a bunch of far right zealots cosplaying as SA. And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |
| 11. Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 12:57 A bunch of men dressed in black who we can`t identify suddenly turn up in an area and cause disruption. Yeah this stuff is meta. I`m guessing just stop oil protestors don`t need to wear masks because most of them don`t have a job to lose, they are mostly retired gender studies professors and trust fund kids and they tend to cause criminal damage. I imagine the gentlemen at Dover are mostly working class, hence the masks and why it took place on a Saturday. Nice to see a truly peaceful protest rather than a "mostly" or "largely" peaceful one come off. Having made their point I hope they choose a less disruptive form of protest the next time they decide to congregate. ![]() Reply |
| 12. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 13:50 Why would they fear losing their job if they are protesting peacefully? Peaceful protest in the UK is legal. Or are you saying that blocking roads and causing traffic disruption is an illegal act? No problem with them protesting an issue they wish to protest. But whats the need for the balaclavas and intimidating look? Its clear it was meant to make sure locals/people using the port were too scared to challenge them. The issue is the look of them, rather than their actions, which seemed fairly peaceful. Reply |

Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 14:01 Topic Originator: Dave_1885 Because some people will brand them "thugs" and "yobs" just because of the way they look, you`d be surprised how many people prejudice btw. Them dressed like that, in uniform makes them all blend in....them dressed in the "Antifa summer range" means they are unlikely to get any bother from anyone. If these people are who I think they are they have pulled off quite the coup, kept it so quiet that there was no time for whoever normally informs the counter protesters to show up to do so. ![]() Reply |

Again, Its not illegal to protest peacfully….. Reply |

| 17. Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 16:49 I`d add an amendement to that... It`s not a legal matter officially obviously the blob will be trying to infiltrate this group as we speak, so not having a mark to target makes that more difficult. ![]() Reply |

Like you say BP, Patriotic Platform will now have an even bigger target on them and with their founder Daniel Thomas, up in court next month their card has been well marked. I`d imagine al the convoy of vans that these peaceful protesters decanted from will be able to have been tracked back on CCTV so at least the owners will now be known to the authorities. | 19. Author: NMCmassive Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 18:00 All this talk of protests and balaclavas. The only protests or marches that officially banned the use of balaclavas to join them were arranged by Tommy Robinson or whatever you want to call him. Seems like there are some in here who would agree with him that they shouldn’t be used at protests COYP Reply |
| 20. Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Sun 6th Sep 2026. 18:05 Yeah I`m sure all that will happen. Can`t have this happen again without the counter-protesters. Interesting to ponder how they kept it on the down-low. Certainly off the mobile networks I`d presume. ![]() Reply |
