I do find it quite humorous that you whined about me spelling your name NCM but admitted that you`ve indulged in such behaviour for a while now. Behaviour that you said only yesterday was childish. I will concede I have let myself down by engaging with you at such low brow levels and will endeavour to do better in the future.

I think you just need to relax. I don’t know why you get so worked up about it.

On a couple of threads it’s just descending into internet rubbish. Usual stereotypes and mud slinging. Helps no one, adds nothing.

That`s TOWK`s only thing, twist what you say or cast aspersions.
Mahmood now casually stating that most women who arrive on a dinghy have been raped, some men too, so they know they`re letting rapists in, the rapists TOWK says don`t exist.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Stop putting words in my mouth now Dandy. I would say that women and men being raped certainly deserve asylum.

And if it’s other asylum seekers that are doing it?

You were not able to ‘send them back to France’ before Brexit either.

Why else would folk want to send the navy into the channel? Do you think the boats will be turned around quietly by those on board?

I think you’re projecting your own thoughts onto me.

Wouldn’t it be easier to change a couple of policies and to deport folk when they can’t justify their place here?

Oh it’s not my thoughts …..clearly missing the sarcasm and obvious intent to mock certain people in the media

You could write numerous policies on it - but how do you get the receiving country to agree to them? Do we not currently deport those who fail asylum bids?

"We don`t want these people. Take them back."
"No."
"What?"
"No."
"Hmm...what do we do now?"

Where do you deport someone to if they`ve tossed all their documents and lie about where they`re from?

It’s that kind of thinking that is perpetuating the problem. You’re actually feeding the system that is allowing rape and murder.

But apparently changing policy is harder than allowing rape and murder

Ok then lets try this a different way - what policies would you write that deters them from crossing or removes them from the country right now?

In June 2026 the EU introduced new rules on migration and asylum. The Migration and Assylum Pact came into force on the 1st of October. The purpose of the legislation is to introduce stronger border controls, faster asylum decisions at the border, tighter controls on movement between EIU countriles and mandatory responsibility sharing.

Safe countries of origin have been identified subject to individual examination to speed up the process.

Under specific conditions an EU member country can decline to examine a claim because effective protection is available elsewhere "safe third country".

The October reforms add stronger obligations to cooperate with removal and possible sanctions on countries for non cooperation. Return hubs outside the EU are also possible.

Over time, and depending on the effectiveness (delivery, case worker training, capacity, reliable identification etc) this could impact the UK in terms of numbers arriving in France. This of course does not give the UK the right to return Channel arrivals to France however the UK is seeking to cooperate with EU countries.

So what policies would you introduce or remove so there would be fewer incentives to come here?

Just to be clear - it is not possible to do mass deportations. If Restore or Reform suggest it is, they are incorrect. You could potentially jail people who have travelled here illegally for no valid reason, but where do they go after that, and how much has that cost?

What was already tried under the Tories was nonsense like Rwanda and putting people on old ships. I don`t recall a significant drop in crossings.

Well, Rwanda didn`t happen so it can`t be said whether it was effective or not.

And jailing folk clearly isn`t an option.
