Then again it`s only allegedly so maybe, despite there (allegedly) being footage of this sickening act, the likes of the Daily Mail and GB News are waiting till the police finish their investigation. I mean all the people who are in this footage should be identifiable and they are surely now in the system having their asylum claims processed and should be fairly easy to locate. What definitely happened On 16 September 2026, a migrant boat travelling towards Lanzarote was rescued after getting into serious difficulty offshore. Three men, aged 21, 25 and 30, were subsequently arrested after a woman told Spanish authorities that she had been sexually assaulted during the crossing. Spanish police said another passenger subsequently came forward and said he had witnessed the assault. The three men were initially placed in pre-trial detention. However, there has already been an important development that some UK reports haven’t reflected: on 25 September, a Lanzarote court released all three because prosecutors questioned whether Spanish courts had jurisdiction, since the alleged assault occurred in international waters. The investigation itself has not been closed. So “woman gang raped on migrant dinghy” is not fabricated. More precisely, it is an allegation of a multiple sexual assault, supported by the woman’s complaint and a passenger who said he witnessed it; it has not been established by a criminal conviction.
