Smoking crack if we think big Victor will be anything but a short cameo again, personally anyway.

Wanyama will surely be with next season in mind, a fitter version would stroll this league.

I agree with above. He was brought in on a short term contract and it hasn`t worked (although that could change in the last couple of games and potential playoff).

No way can we afford him for a whole season. On top of that, he`s almost 50 years old 😆.

Lewis off crutches at Sponsors’ event this evening and said he was not in any pain. 🤞🤞

Archie Stevens would be my choice of replacement.

I`ve always fancied O`Halloran as a number 10
Wouldn`t be against Andrew Tod either
Wanyama ...I`m not convinced he would be here next year - but I do suspect our owners/sponsors will bolster the squad with a couple of big money weekly wage players

If wanyama is beyond his best, and unlikely to sign for a top club, he might just finish his career with his old pal.
He doesnt need the money, he might just enjoy doing something for a sleeping giant.

Since we have adopted the long ball game, we need a big lad up front for Tobi to aim at. Lewis is the obvious target man. If he isn`t fit to play, Chris Kane being shorter in stature, doesn`t fit the bill for that. Andrew Tod, to me, just doesn`t look robust enough to fulfill that role. If McCann is ruled out maybe the long ball game should be rethought for the Thistle game.

What about Wanyama. He took up some very forward positions in his short stint last Saturday. He wouldn`t have the same energy levels as McCann but maybe his hold up play and close ball control skills could fashion an opening or two.

Deary me.

He`s a perfect example of players we seem to sign. After his first game I thought we have a real player here who can take a man on and if we can work on his delivery he will be a brilliant wide player. Since then he hasn`t taken a player on and gets stood up by the full back and either passes it off to the full back or centre mid around the half way line and hasn`t really been seen much since.

Hopefully that was him following the manager`s instructions and Lennon can get him taking on a man and putting in a good delivery if so he would fill the McCann role best.

c'mon the pars

Paralex while I get what your trying to say, it won’t happen.

We have to play the long ball game at home because the pitch is terrible. At this stage of the season we aren’t going to start to try and play a passing game at home.

If McCann is out then I fully expect us to use the same tactics.

I think the comment relates to previous suggestions that the Kenyan government wasn`t exactly robust in its checks and paperwork so he perhaps may be a bit older but faked his age.

That suggestion has been made about several high-profile African players over the decades.

This was the story about Wanyama`s brother. All his brother`s retired from football relatively young and Victor was `15` when he made his international debut. There could be someting in it but given what happened to those questioning his brother`s age I might give him the benefit of the doubt!

Why did we take the guy on at all, if he`s a liability? I remember him scoring crucial goals for Celtic. If he`s only 33 and a class player, what`s the big deal about putting him up front with Kane? If he`s completely out of condition, we never should have signed him in the first place. If he`s no good now, why do some of us think he`ll be a great asset that "will stroll this league next season?"

Some people think we just signed him for "commercial" reasons rather than footballing reasons, but only the club will know for sure.

Either way, there is a big difference between "strolling the league" next season (as a midfield general) versus playing upfront now in a team that is struggling to create chances and/or cope with the state of the pitch.

You do know he’s a defensive midfielder don’t you or should positions be set based on YouTube highlight reels now?

Benedictus is a centre back, but didn`t stop Lennon putting him up front late on in some games.
