84. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 07:51 To be fair to McCann he does put a lot of effort in, however it’s just everything else he is really poor at, he very rarely wins a header, he doesn’t score enough goals as he should. His final pass is good at times, I’ve said before about whipping the ball in for Kane, apart from that generally it’s poor. A lot of folk seem to think he’s a free kick specialist because he scored that one at Hampden a couple years ago. If he moves on which I think he will then good luck to him. Reply |
85. Author: OzPar Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 08:03 I am sorry to hear about his injury, but quite honestly, I think it would be best for Lewis and the club if he were to move on at the end of the season. Reply |
86. Author: RossF Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 08:10 I’d keep McCann. He’s now playing under the best manager he has had. Lennon will hopefully be able to improve him next season (if we stay up). If he does leave I’d imagine Livingston will be one of the first clubs in for him with the way Martindale talked about him. Reply |

He needs to improve his decision making but with better service I think he could do that. Reply |
88. Author: wee eck Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 10:47 The traffic on this forum would shrink drastically if he moved on. Brian must be dreading the prospect. Reply |
89. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 11:48 Improve his decision making is something we’ve been saying for the last 7 seasons he’s been in and around the first team. For his build, physique and where he plays he should be a nightmare for defenders to play against however 17 goals in 143 appearances is hardly impressive. 1 goal in every 8.5 games. I feel he’ll move on and hopefully a fresh start allows him to kick on with his career. Reply |

Author: Rigger Al Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 11:59 Should we stay up and Lennon stays a striker shall be top of the shoppibg list ,we have Kane ,Connor and Bray Interesting times for the pars should we stay up and keep Lennon ,Im sure this has already been agreed as in the budget to re build Reply |
91. Author: Ahoy!Ahoy! Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 12:35 Substantial transfer budget by all accounts. Lennon and the recruitment team will already be in contact with players and identified who were after. I’m sure the discussions have happened. Going to be an exciting season next year, but let’s just get the points on the board first and then dare to dream what next season holds. Reply |
92. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 12:58 You got to laugh, some folk seem to like flirting with championship relegation every season. What’s McCann done any better than others who we are all happy to see move on? He’s been in the squad for 6 years with little to no improvement. How come he always gets the benefit of perpetually “the next manager will get the best out of him” mob? Assuming we have Kane, young and a couple of others next season to play upfront, he’s not going to play, he’s not an impact sub who going to chip in with goals, there’s very little reason to keep him apart from that he’s a local lad. Onwards and upwards I say, looking forward to seeing a better quality of player being brought in. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |
93. Author: JTH123 Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 13:01 Ahoy!Ahoy!, Sat 19 Apr 11:48 Fair point but for the first few years he was a young boy learning the game and since then he`s mainly been played out wide in a team that doesn`t create chances. I think he will score goals in the right team. Reply |
94. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 13:10 Ah there we go, score goals in the right team….. You can say that about loads of other players who are better in the air, better control, ability and decision making etc etc If he was going to flourish in a better team we would have seen more glimpses of his ability by now. He is not being held back in this team. The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |
95. Author: fcda Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 13:45 We`ll probably find that some players are preferred over others purely due to their contract situation - similar to Paul Allen last year. It might not be as cut and dried as people like to suggest. Reply |
96. Author: jake89 Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 13:55 Ironic that people moan when McCann is in the team then moan when he`s injured. Reply |
97. Author: da_no_1 Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 13:58 Yeah and weird that certain people only post to repeatedly have a go at the same players. Nowhere to be seen when we win and said player assists the winner. Poor show "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |

99. Author: Berkey Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 18:24 Da no1 can you imagine if we signed a left winger or striker in the summer who could provide assists and chip in with some goals and could control and keep hold of the ball? It’s like you think this is the best we’ll get so have to stick with it regardless. We can do better, cooper has scored more league goals this season and he’s barely played. 100. Author: da_no_1 Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 18:42 He provided an assist last week. I agree we need better players so at least that bit of sh1t you`ve thrown has stuck to the wall..... "Some days will stay a 1000 years, some pass like the flash of a spark" Reply |
