Author: Berkey Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 18:52 I agree parrot, plenty have a soft spot for him so are willing to accept and defend pretty much anything in the eternal hope it eventually clicks. 150 games later we’re calling for someone who will be 24 in a few month to be given another chance. Problem is with Kane and young and others to be brought in, even if he does stay his game time will be very much limited next year. It was an assist last week and he looked up and tried to pick a player out, as usual the execution in the final ball was poor but it led to the goal so credit for that which I said at the time. Is 3 goals and 2-3 assists really enough when a lot of his general play is so poor? The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity! Reply |

| 108. Author: Never10yairds Date: Sat 19th Apr 2025. 22:16 If we aim to compete at the top of the championship table then sadly we can’t have Lewis McCann in our starting 11 every week. He just doesn’t have enough upside. Doesn’t contribute enough. I had high hopes for him a few years back considering his size and pace but sadly he hasn’t developed the areas of his game that need work. If he does stay on I’d imagine his game time will be very limited considering the clubs aspirations, perhaps it would be better for him to move on and try to find his level in a League 1 side. I find him quite likeable because he clearly tries his best but we need a bit more quality than he provides. Reply |

We get the message. There’s really no need for the constant sledging. Isn’t it strange how so many Dunfermline managers have given him so much game time? Why would that be? That being said he hasn`t been good enough in the championship or showed he can handle this level. 112 appearances at this level and only 11 goals (3 this season). Pretty much tell you all you need to know as a striker he doesn`t score enough goals and actually has more yellow cards than goals(16). On the assist point made recently he only has a total of 8 with 3 of them coming this season. His league 1 form is 29 games 6 goals and 6 assists from only 1 season. Again not a great return considering the amount of appearances and the fact we won the league that season. c'mon the pars Reply |

Not easy either when you are in a team that doesn’t score goals which for large parts of last couple of years has been down more to creativity. Not like our strikers get umpteen chances a game. However he he’s had potential for 3-4 seasons now. I believe if we have aspirations to do well in this league then it will be without Lewis Reply |
